how does it work when hold down the fn + left or right arrows? is it same with the end key function?

My 9520 has the exact same problem, replaced ssd still get BSOD randomly, but did notice it only happens on battery power

I just got the 9520 model with the 3050 non TI model. It is downright terrible when gaming. Keeps shutting down the game. Granted it is used that I got from a pawn shop. And I will be applying new thermal paste on this. But other than this, I love it. It does take a little bit getting acclimated to the huge touchpad. I came the 14in ThinkPad. Screen is beautiful and the speakers sound insane.

I would highly recommend doing a price match if you find that this laptop is too expensive.

This laptop has been a total disaster for me. I invested in a brand new 9520 with upgrades and a premium support plan last year because I needed a powerful device for my design consulting business. Within a few months this very expensive laptop wouldn't turn on consistently and would shut down mid-work. Many hours of tech support remote sessions and them replacing the mother board twice, no improvement. Hours escalating the issue until they replaced the device with the same, refurbished model. The refurbished model began having the exact same problem within a couple months. Same tech support/mother board replacement carousel for the refurbished unit with no improvement. Countless hours of lost work time (and therefore money). Given that I've now had two of these 9520s with the exact same problem, I'd steer clear, especially if you will depend on the laptop for income.

Very nice machine! I don't think you will be disappointed by that. Will be interesting to know if thermals are better than the Dell XPS 15 9530.

Good review. I’m getting the 9530 i9 with RTX 4070. I was looking at the Thinkpad Z16 but the Ryzen components don’t seem to pack the same punch, despite Dell’s very controlled limitation of the internals, thanks to their silly chassis philosophy and dated cooling.

Will be interesting to see if the 9530 improves the cooling and thermals. I find the HP ZBook Studio G9 a better option than the XPS, IMO.

@@JimKanaris I found with the 9520 that Dell have been resting on their laurels, when the competition have upped their game. From the 9530 specs not much has changed except the CPU/GPU update.

@@Dovecomputers I tend to agree, wishing Dell would at the very least modify the cooling system (vapour chamber in the 15") to both accommodate changes under the hood and to address the heating issues pointed out to them ad nauseam in previous iterations. If my company supported the ThinkPad Legion Slim 7i, I'd definitely go with that instead!

@@JimKanaris Managed to sneak in a Legion 5 Pro a few months ago at work. Too good for gaming, perfect for Adobe PS/PP work. Will see if I can get a Legion Slim 7 Gen 8 for review!

Careful. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND OF LAPTOP! If your battery breaks down, which will happen sooner or later, you are totally obliged to buy the battery from them at the price they want to sell it to you. And that, assuming they have it. No other battery from any manufacturer will work for you even if the model is correct. The laptop will run on the battery but will not charge it. And the same will happen to you with chargers. If it is not the one they sell you, the laptop will work connected to the current but it will not charge the battery. I have a computer store and I have had to choose not to sell or support any device of that brand.

I have an old dell m6400 as much as I love dell the proprietor battery and charger makes me hate them. I'll going fo Asus next I might as well get a Chinese wife too.
