James Jones Thats cold man. Not everyone grew up in a stable home within a good socio-economy neighbourhood, possibly like yourself. Yes they were gifted with incredible talent and most of them worked very hard for it, but maybe their upbringings didn't teach them the proper values to live by in order to succeed in every aspect of life. Im not saying you should show sympathy to these pro athletes, but you should try not be a dick to people whose struggles you dont understand.

I'm completely with you here man. With these types of illnesses, doctors just throw different meds at people to see what ones will work for people. So, they obviously don't even know much more than we do about it. It's ok for doctor's to be a middle man drug pusher for big pharma companies though. It's all bullshit. Feel bad for this dude though.

I understand his wife taking the child away for the best of them. But when you marry it's for sickness and for health. I have bipolar disorder and struggle heavily for 12+ years. One of my biggest fears is someone leaving me because of it and not helping me through it. He lost everything. With little to no understanding. And hes right about the stigma and people repeatedly bringing up your medication or assuming you're going to have an outburst I never tell anyone I have it at first for that reason.

Actually trying not to cry a little bit. I feel his struggle, I've been through it. I got lucky that I noticed it and stopped taking certain meds i was prescribed and I'm just in a fortunate situation but there has to be a way we can reach out to him and help him. There's no way we can't figure out a way to help him. If the NBA doesn't step up, I don't know what to say.

A lotta people overlook West. He's not thought of as a spectacular player but he was a high quality guard for what he had, he was in injury trouble a lot. Most games he ever played in a season was 64, shows he could've been a lot better if he was healthy. No, not like an all-star or anything but his career would be looked at differently. Respect.
