Great 1st video guys! Having an early VIN myself, I am fascinated by all the small changes that had taken place before mine was even built! I look forward to more vids!! :)

From the old wiki: Black Automatic. This VIN was on the first shipment to the US. (See Manifest 1, page 6.) The Carrier Ship was the "Continental Highway" and its arrival was listed as 5/14/1981 at the POE of Long Beach, CA. Company Car for V. Capitanio. Chestnut Fleet Rental. Leased from CFR Inc. and returned with sales restrictions without warranty.

Very cool information. I would if Mr. V. Capitanio is still alive?

Awesome first video, guys! I learned about the rivets under the rear lower arms - question about that came up recently and no one seemed to know if it's original or not. Apparently it was.

Loved the walk around. I love learning about all the differences and changes made during production. Great video, hope to see more from you guys! More Technical videos would be awesome! Coverage on common problems and fixes would be great for the community.

Subscribed! Really enjoyed this walk through of an early vin car. Great to see the bolts used on the hood and frame, was not aware of those differences. As awesome as the vin plate is, I can only imagine how bad a reflection that caused. I redyed my dash and repainted my vin plate and even the fresh vin plate paint made mine annoyingly reflective, that plate would be impossible to ignore!

Well done gentlemen. Can we expect this car to be the star (in future videos) of a full restoration by Midwest?
