I remember the first time experiencing the MadDog90 when I started working at FLL. I was next to the runway when it took off and was amazed at two things. 1 - How quiet it was compared to other MD series and 2, what a freakin' rocket the thing was!! I'll miss you MD-90!

Used to watch these coming into to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA, all the time. At one point it seemed like every other aircraft was a DC-9 series and maybe it was.

Still in service as of 1/24/20. Landed in ATL at 2 : 10 PM . Good to see an MD90 in service. Delta is phasing them out.

Mds were not efficient. Old technology left over from the 1960s dc9. Md my favorite plane.

This was a sexy elegant jet, the new Boeing and Airbus 2 engine planes might have better performance, but they can't beat the old MD-80 MD-90s for looks. In fact the new jets look vulgar with those outsized engines. 🛫
