That's a great fix for the weak link on these saws Don. If space was a concern to someone, the brass could be swapped out for a set screw. I think the brass knob has nice function and look, you should replace the wing nut with one also. Cheers

That's what I was thinking too. My original thought was a set screw, but then I thought "why not just make things more complicated?" 😀 That wing nut may get the heave ho as well per your suggestion. Thanks for watchin Don
