Hello I wanted to ask at what point do the applicants get to know thier assigned base, before training or after graduating? Also what about openings that mention a specific base , can one still be stationed to another base ? I live fairly close to jfk and am considering the career because of that. Thank you in advance .

Yes lots of people apply for Flight attendant positions but many times they are looking for attendants with knowledge of second language and if you speak Czech, Danish, Dutch, Swedish etc. which Delta is looking for regularly, then you have lot higher chance to be hired because in the US these languages are rare so not that many will apply for that position.

What’s the best strategy you know/have used to get the best possible schedule when having to commute? Is it best for you to work the 3 day ADAY blocks back to back, 6 days total, so you can maximize time back home? Is it hard to bid/get your ADAY blocks back to back? How many of the ADAYs are Airport standby versus being on call from your crash pad? Outside of your 6 ADAYS, the rest of your monthly schedule is whatever line trips you’re assigned through bidding? Will you have 6 ADAY for the rest of your career at Delta? If not after how many years in the company are you senior enough so you don't have to do them again? How easy is to drop off trips as a new flight attendant? Thank you

The length of time you will have Adays depends on your base. For example, in a base such as Boston, you might only have them for a year. In New York, you'd probably have them for 5 to 6 years. In Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and some of the other bases, you'd probably have them for 10 years or significantly longer. If your trips are not great, they will be more difficult to drop. As a new hire, your trips will probably not be trips that most other flight attendants don't want. However, you can swap them with trips in open time that might be better. The job is quite flexible and there are lots of drop and swap options available if you are willing to spend the time to improve your schedule.

Background check is different from drug test sounds like for this its one in the same. so the drug test is not just drug but alcohol too huh? Ive never heard of that, drugs yes but alcohol? Wow. Can you talk about the jumpseat and reach test. In addition your experience with Plus Size ppl? I hear that the jumpseat curreently used is the tightest, but its not reflective of the one on the line.

Hi thanks for reaching out. Well for the jumpseat test I don’t think they ate make it tidier to intentionally make people fail. The seatbelt is build for most bigger crewmembers aspiring crew.

@@itsracheljanae I didn’t get a CJO 😔🥲. To make it that far only to get rejected in the end was beyond crushing. I cried for 3 days (I’m currently at a job where I’m not growing but can’t afford to go back to school at the moment). I just knew I was gonna get an offer because I have related experience and passed all the other parts with flying colors and got moved through quickly. It sucks. It’s disappointing but I’m very proud of myself for making it so far. The district person said out of nearly 400,000 people who applied there was only 30 of us who got an invite so I guess that’s something. Idk if I’d be applying again. It literally took close to 3 months to get to that point and I can’t go through that kind of disappointment starting the process over by applying again.

You mentioned hand tattoos. I have two very small finger tattoos on the side of my hands. Would I be allowed to cover it with makeup? Because I was reading online that I wouldn’t be allowed to have any tattoos that needed to be covered by makeup or jewelry. Could you delve more into tattoos?

If they cannot be covered by uniform garments, then make up. They just cannot be visible while on uniform

Hey Brian! Did you complete the video interview? If not now the VI are being analyzed by a actual recruiter. Look at the cam lense, use the Star method as much as you can, and try to sound as less robotic as possible. Dress as if you were going to the F2F.

I didn’t make it through AA f2f on Monday but I have Delta on the 26th. Do you know if delta is more one on one focused? I do much better in that format honestly. I felt like AA was more of a presentation skills type of thing.

I have a forearm tattoo and a tattoo inside my arm near my arm pit and one on my calf and one on each thigh do you think I’ll be able to get through training without being disqualified. All tattoos would be covered in uniform. Non are in main visible areas such as neck hands wrists.

I got sent home from my f2f with United because i have a tattoo on the back of my neck even though it can be covered with a collar they said its still prohibited. Is that the same for delta? Or as long as its covered its alright?

Hi! I am so sorry you were sent home. Well with Delta the policy is No Tattoos visible while on uniform. The problem with tattoos that can be cover is that eventually that can be discovered, makeup is not enough, or even a physical move you do can expose that during training and they will send you home. So answer: yes they allow tattoos but not visible while in uniform or training attire.

Thanks for the replies. So I Actually did take out my nose ring and cover with makeup...turns out, the nose ring was fine if it was a small simple one, which mines was. But I was so focused on this, and covering it, that I forgot about an arm tattoo that touched my wrist...an wore a mid length blazer. 🤦🏿‍♀️ Safe to say, I was NOT selected because of this. 🥺🥺

For they to offer a guarantee they need to have a Contract and a Union. They don’t have any of that. “What I mean by need to offer” is that in aviation that’s how most of the airlines do it
