If you dont believe Mexican cartels backed by china can create drones dropping b0 mbs with night vision then i dont know what to say. Unless delta/jsoc can figure out a way to kill radio signals to drones then i think their losses might be steep. The days of fighting a technologically in-advanced adversary are over.

If the Cartels are working with these (blue people) and if the cartels are designated as terrorist organizations (as Tom Holmon suggests) then that would mean that any politicians accepting bribes from them, will be getting arrested by the Military, and won't be seeing the light of day. The law is the law. You can't accept bribes from criminal "Terrorist" organizations, because this would be Treason. Treason is an offense punishable by the military, which doesn't require civilian court trials. Some "blue" governors have stepped down in 2024, and I think they knew what was coming.

I think a huge factor in this discussion is the locality of the conflict. We as a nation have spent unfathomable amounts of money fighting on the other side of the globe. The ability to launch these operations in our backyard provides logistical advantages we have not had in the past. Texas alone has 15 fully operational military bases. Troops can be safe within their own country while on duty, and deploy for 1 or 2 months to then return home in a few hours to their family, all while being stationed in the USA. Reinforcements, supply chain ease, and multi branch assistance(HLS/NG/CG/FBI/CIA/ATF etc...)

In all seriousness tho the Mexican cartel is more like an insurgency. They tend to hide between Civilans and since corruption is so bad sometimes they have their own people in groups like government agencies, police stations, shit even a ton of them in USA alone. Imagine calling in an air strike on a cartel group and it’s in a crowded area? How would that look like on Americas behalf? Even worse what if Mexico gave the go to for America and the air strike killed their own people supposedly trying to “stop violence.” That wouldn’t look good on either part on any side of a Mexico or American alliance.

Because they end up killing innocent civilians who are given no choice but to work for the cartels or they and their families get killed or starve. Delta and others (DEVGRU) can easily win many missions in México as they did in Afghanistan and Iraq. But how are these countries doing now? As with ISIS or the Taliban, the enemy would be cartel members who are part of the general population. Someone can be a plumber from Monday to Thursday, for example, and cartel gunman the rest of the week. Also, the authorities have been largely infiltrated by cartels. For example, the mayor of the town of Chilpancingo (state of Guerrero) was killed and decapitated this month (November) by his own chief of police who worked for the local cartel. Is Delta going to go after public officials? President Felipe Calderon began this war on drugs in 2006 by precisely going after the heads of the cartels with the naïve idea that that would be the answer. Half a million official deaths later, thigs are worse than ever. The reality was that the heads of the cartels, like the heads of the mafia families in the US, were the ones who kept things somewhat under control in Mexico. They preferred to keep a low profile and didn't allow things like kidnappings and extortion to take place since these activities would attract the attention of the government and this was bad for business. By decapitating the beast, its many tentacles became many small cartels (more like gangs) who've been at war with each other and with the Mexican army ever since. A situation that has become completely out of control. Delta would probably run out of ammo and and space to pile up mountains of corpses, and still not get to the root of the problem. And as far as building a wall and sending the national guard to protect it, this would have limited success since most drugs are imported into the US intermixed with legitimate cargo in containers by boat, airplane, cross-border tunnels, and in small quantities in modified family cars, to name a few methods. The US imports about 1.8 billion dollars of goods from Mexico every day. A large percentage of these products are from US companies who take advantage of Mexico's cheap labor force to produce products there and import them into the US. Having this capacity to outsource production to Mexico gives US companies a competitive advantage over China and India, for example. Messing with this trade balance would have negative economic consequences for both Mexico and the US. If you want a really serious immigrant/refugee crisis at the border, just screw up trade between both countries and destroy jobs in Mexico and a catastrophic crisis would result...just what the cartels want. The solution is a very complicated and long cooperation between Mexico and the US, as was the case in Colombia in the early 1990s, with specific missions for SF that fit into a larger plan. Go after the money and force the cartels to go back underground so that Mexico can prosper and the economy and job creation will give young Mexicans opportunities that will keep them out of trouble. And a thorough investigation should be carried out into why the US is the world leader in drug consumption. What's going on with our society that makes us use so many drugs?

The issue is that these big pharmaceutical companies make and incentivize doctors to prescribe these highly addictive drugs that high jack your cns and make you almost dependent on them.

The root is literally the cartels smuggling tons of drugs from Sinaloa where the Mexican government have no power. They did this with escobar and today columbian only do the growing they no longer the main charachters. You can`t solve the opiate crisis but atleast decrease the number of deaths caused by fentanyl. Trumps also promised to go after big pharma, which I don`t think is realistic, but even reducing their negative influence would be a step forward.

They have no choice. Most of the cartel lowers that were pulled into that life from youth are groomed to have one mindset. Destroy anything that part of their structure. I'm from central america. Every now and then our taskforces will post up some updates on such conflicts of their own and the images of many of the people they detain are like looking at human doppelgangers. The body looks human, but nothing behind the eyes. Just wild animals that were stripped of all sense of humanity early on. If more Americans were to follow news outlets across Latin America, now that AI allows to translate if they don't know Spanish, they'd see a world of nightmarish stuff. This nonsense resistance against the right would mellow out. The left in the US really have no idea that a lot of the people they claim are "innocent lads" are demons from hell itself. Can't count how many times in our news here we see hippies from North America and Europe go missing only for "parts" of them to be found weeks later. Real dumb people.

It's like watching children playing dungeons and dragons. If the drug problem was easy to fix, why hasn't it been fixed yet? The reality is that not only is the drug problem much more complex, but there's funding, U.S. law, and international law. So would America just invade Mexico without permission? Do we establish military bases in Mexico? Do we kill, or do we capture cartel members? Do we consider them military combatants? If so, are captured cartel members tried under U.S. law or Mexican law? In either case, there's a million questions the American government needs to answer before going along with your fun little action movie you're yammering on about.

If there were an actual "official" invasion planned...do ya really think they'd be asking for "permission" from anyone? Think about what an actual "invasion" entails and means...if an "invasion" were the intent it would be targeting pretty much EVERYTHING until there was no Mexico...kinda the point of an actual "invasion". Special operations, high value targets, mapping and marking priority targets and then executing with "surgical precision" is kinda the opposite of an "invasion". Spec Ops for specific targets and groups, invasions to completely descimate with no quarter...a big difference.

The most important aspect of this scenario that was not discussed is the fact that the cartels would unleash terror on our society via violent gang activities within our communities. Our criminal justice system, the mentality of our police departments, along with the general public’s perception of social control and fear of the preemptive use of force and violence to defend ourselves, our neighbors, and property would negate the efforts of our forces to control the cartel within Mexico. In order to eradicate the problems associated with the cartel’s in this country, all hands must be on deck. Once the cartels ‘green light’ law enforcement and civilians, there will be war on our streets, and we must accept the lawlessness and violence that the general public must deal with before the the drug and gang problem can be resolved.

That's why Trump is getting rid of 20 million illegal aliens, to make an excuse that we should sit here and find a nice quiet way to end this problem is feeble, we know this current government especially the CIA is involved, hence the reason Trump is gutting this current government and filling it with his own trusted people, Biden made this ugly, we need to get tough on it ,we are not going to bend over to this, Trump has humbled many countries that sought to stand up to him and lost, part of the problem is Mexicans would rather tucktail and run rather than stand up to these cartels ,they need to get their children's asses out of the cartels ranks , we will not sit back like we did for the past 4 years to Biden ,we will instead stand up to these cartels just as Trump has stood up for America, stop making excuses and stand tall , trust that God will lead us

Cartels will start to kill innocent people as they always do when they feel threatened. USA needs to prevent and protect innocent people too. And no I’m not part of anything. Do it Unilaterally from CONUS into Mexico proper or from Sea to inland under Title 50 and it sure as shit WOULD be accomplished inside the 60 limit under an Executive Order. However, my concern is and would be with the consequences inflicted onto the American Public during, after, and even before this is to take place. Inevitably DHS, FBI, and some other domestic and foreign Intelligence Agencies would need broader authorities and access. RLTW
