I accidentally stumbled upon this song on Spotify and listened to it a couple times but started listening to the lyrics more. And I gotta say this song made me cry. The lyrics and music video (to me) remind me of when my family and I were homeless (It was also during 2018 but we found a place around the time this music video was released) I had just graduated high school the year before and didn't say goodbye to anyone, even to my neighbors who'd I'd hung out with everyday. (We had lived in that city for around 15 years) During this time, we lived in the car and visited many places near the ocean and got to see a lot of nature and animals. I felt most relaxed in nature because although I didn't look homeless I felt like people in the city could tell, but in nature I felt free. I'm still coming to terms that I was homeless and sometimes think about what happened and what we did, arguments, memorable times of exploring the city/nature. When I watch the music video it reminds me of when I'm lying in bed now (lol I have the Tarva bed too!) thinking about the past (My old room, school, friends, nature) oof idk im just pouring my heart out and telling my story because i haven't told anyone. Truly thanks to anyone reading this! And thank you Delta Sleep for making this beautiful song - it felt so surreal reading the lyrics and watching the music video as it really does connect with me.

My favorite thing about music and art is finding total strangers expressing exactly how I feel. To make that type of connection with people I've never met, it helps me feel a lot less alone in the universe and generally more connected with everyone. I'm glad you feel it too.

i’m 2 years late. but i just wanna say that delta sleep has changed my life. i’ve never really met another delta sleep fan, but i sorta like it that way? it feels like delta sleep is a secret thing that is mine and mine only. i have multiple mental disorders and not to sound “edgy” or anything, but i’m not doing well at the moment. but whenever i’m upset or down, i’ll listen to a delta sleep song. i love the beautiful lyrics, the singing, everything. anyways, this is long. but thank you for making music.

You’re not alone in this. This band has gotten me through my darkest days, and even some of the brighter ones. I only hope to be able to do the same for others one day.

I’ve never came across any delta sleep fans either, but it’s okay. It’s our little secret. Like a life hack for the broken and lonely. Hang in there, and if you’re still not okay, just know it’s okay not to be. We can only hope that it will be one day.

The whole dream concept they present with this video makes me think of an alternative dystopian meaning behind the album where the City is making the protagonist dream about an escape from the City but it's just an illusion to make her happy. "The City is something that sits so deep in the back of her head while she's asleep" She almost recognizes the veil over her eyes, maybe one day she'll pull it off and actually escape. Or maybe the City holds our dreams in all too many ways.

If American Football is what happens if Don Caballero goes Full pop punk then this band is what happens when American Football goes full Math Rock. The rythm changes, the dynamics, the lyrics... Everything is made with soul, with such a passion that now i doubt that this band will release a bad album in their entire career. These guys will never stop to surprising me, even in days when i feel like the lyrics from Camp Adventure, they really know how to make me smile. Simply powerful.
