Why is Bethel so important? It is the center of the Baal cult in the Northern Kingdom of Samaria. It’s things like this that betray the host’s dishonesty. He would know the emblematic significance that it was two she-bears. Simple. You traumatized kids into thinking that they are going to hell. I knew that the stories were harsh, but the fear of endless burning kept me in check. Plus you add going to church 4 times a week, sometimes more which puts you inside an echo chamber with people who believe the same delusions. It doesn't take long before you got them kids thinking it's normal, and the rest of the world is wrong. It took years to undo the brainwashing. I will never forgive that cult for what it did to me, and continues to do to my entire family.
