#1: The next door neighbor may have been an HOA president at some other neighborhood who got in so much trouble she got kicked out. Then tried to take over her new neighborhood. She was totally nuts!

When i worked for our national railways in UK, we had dedicated parking bays next to shunting yards. When "unofficial" vehicles were parked on our bays, they would be jacked up, left with one axle on pile of bricks and a cardboard notice saying, "Wheel gone for repairs". Usually after a few hours car gone. The shunters dumped those wheels.
My local British Rail permanent way gang when tasked with stopping the local kids using the station car park as a short cut on their way home from school, and causing a certain amount of vandalism as they went. Painted the top of the fence with a thick back graphite point grease that was eventually banned for being carcinogenic.

The story with the war veteran and the HOA messing with his RV. I've heard it said time and time again, PTSD is real and, that's know how to work weapons, kill people with without weapons, some even know how to work with explosives. HOA might think they're in the right, so might the other guy. Is be careful what you do to someone that's parking at a lot, even if you got there first or they got their first, or whatever, this person that thinks they're right, knows where you parked.

I didn't really appreciate the voice change halfway through. The voice is part of what I use to choose what to listen to. Different voices are better for different things. These voices are not good for the same things. The first voice is good for before bed. The second voice is good for when I'm driving, but it's not good when I'm falling asleep.

I worked in a machine shop and the shop owners left his teen sons spin the oil out of the metal chips for spending money. That is until his sons turned it into a business making over 6,000 a month. Then the father taking notice took it over and puts his kids on hourly wages. His kids were splitting 6,000 dollars a month, how's that for a 14 and a 16 year old 3,000 dollars a month each. When the owner first told me the story I had to laugh😊😊😅

Should have left that oil change story out. Every dealership and most independent shops do a multi-point inspection standard. The air filter he described changing was a cabin air filter and is not the same thing as an engine air filter. Brakes don't last 100,000 miles. As a tech I've dealt with customers like him before and we hate them.

I've hosed down cars in my yard. 1 car had been unlocked. I filled it with garbage. There were some old meat packs, too. The next day, under the of the daytime sun, the car heated up. By the time the hungover driver got to their car, it smelled like week old tampons and a ripe garbage dump and reaked for days. The guy tried to sue. The judge allowed my counter suit, so the guy had to pay $1000US on top of that. I let it go at $500 because I didn't want to deal with the a$$ hat more than i needed and i really wasn't hurt anyway.

The "up selling mechanic" story, well if you can do your brakes front and rear and your air filter, why did he go to a shop for a simple oil change?
@corytracey85164 ай бұрын
Most places you can get your oil changed for $20. Buying the stuff to do it yourself can be anywhere from $30-$50.
@johnclaybaugh95364 ай бұрын
It does take different tools, to say nothing about properly disposing of the oil. Also, now that I've actually listened to that story, it doesn't say anything about him changing his own brakes. Lol.
@organrick4 ай бұрын
The vehicle also has 2 air filters, one in the engine compartment, and another one in the glovebox. Even if you're in there for a simple oil change, they do check out other components of the car, and see if theres anything that may be hazardous. Even if he is a home mechanic, if he doesn't know how to do brakes properly, it might be a hazardous situation.
