Why does OP have to give up his cat. That was incredibly cruel and controlling of his wife. As for the woman with the implants, NTA. He just wants to think he can always recognize whether someone had them. She proved them wrong. Do you really think you want to be such a know it all?

Never let relations know when you get 'found money'. Admitttedly, inheritance is near impossible to keep secret unless the testator requires it of the executor. Other people are notorious at being eager to help spend other people's money.

You can discuss that the cat will help you emotionally at your loss. At 12 yrs old time may solve your baby problem if you lose bubba to old age before a child joins the family. I know I would hold it against a spouse if bubba passed away while living away from me.

News flash! When someone makes a Will, that someone has the right to give their money and possessions to whomever they want to leave it to. If your grandparents wanted to leave your cousins more money, they would have done so.

First story: Getting someone fired because you disagree with their personal beliefs and were butt hurt by their moronic comments, makes you a Karen, not a hero. It is not your job to police people's thoughts, unless you are anti free thought and free speech. As for the Karen vs Rancher story, I think the author watches too much Yellowstone

Story about Bubba. NAH. I hate to say that, I was ready to say NTA if you had NOT brought up that the cat is aggressive to strangers. That being said, your wife has very justified reasons to want to avoid bringing him back if you plan to adopt especially. I understand you love him, 12 years is a decent age but not incredibly old one of my cats passed at nearly 22, I have another that is 19 and still very spry. If you plan on more children. And he remains aggressive to strangers, you may end up being right back where you were when you sent him to live with your parents. Home hopping is not good for him either. It's a rough situation with both having justified reasons for how they feel.

Inheritance story. NTA OP harsh as her life is, she is where she is because of her life choices. She chose to remain single while popping out children by different fathers. Her poor choices to have children she could not afford are not your responsibility. Your grand Mother was aware of her circumstances, and yet she still chose to split the inheritance equally. She had her reasons and they should be respected.

Absolutely NOT the a-hole. You know what, I'm glad to see that you've recovered from the alcoholism. That has to be a wicket thing that I've never endured -- I'm almost 79 years old, and I do not drink either and I don't allow it in my house. And, no, you should NOT give your sister your share of the inheritance. I've been through this myself, and that doesn't solve anything, giving your inheritance to another.

You know, my brothers and sisters and I were taught, from the time we were small children, that you respect every person you meet unless that person does something that negates that respect. I had an adopted nephew who we all loved dearly. There was a song many years ago, the words in part being: "Jesus loves the little children, all the children in the world. Red or yellow, black or white, Jesus loves the little children of the world." We lost that nephew at only 38 years of age a year ago. It was a terrible loss for his Mom and Dad, and his sister (also adopted). My nephew was a wonderful person and he is sorely missed. I'm so opposed to racial discrimination and the hatred of one race for another. Hatred of any human being is absolutely WRONG. I might hate or despise wrongful acts by others, but I refuse to hate any human being.

The $45,000 inheritance. Just look at the money as repayment for all the unpaid work you did, and tell the others that you will split the $43,000 based on the previously unpaid labor they had done to help out grandmother. Since they didn't do anything, they don't get anything.😊

There is absolutely no reason to get rid of a cat just because of a pregnancy. Cats are very protective of new members if their family and have been known to save the lives of babies in all kinds of ways. They have alerted parents to babies that have stopped breathing, are choking, being abused, chased off aggressive animals to name a few. It is only advisable to avoid cleaning the litter box or wear an N-95 mask and wash after if it can't be avoided.

The drone story in the United States you actually own the airspace above your property! If someone is flying a drone above your property low enough enough to look into windows you can knock it out of the air! And there is nothing the drone owner can do to you!
@DesiArcy
@DesiArcy 6 ай бұрын
This is absolutely incorrect. In the United States, all airspace is exclusively controlled by the federal government and *none* of it is privately owned. Drones have the same legal status as manned aircraft and it is a felony crime to endanger them -- in some cases you could sue the drone operator for harassment, but in no case would you be legally in the right to take matters into your own hands.

I'd choose the cat. I wouldn't have gotten rid of the cat in the first place. If she had brought it up before getting pregnant, I would havd considered it, but I would not consider it when she pulls bs like that. It sounds like the miscarriage might have been a bit of a blessing. Though that guy is an asshole for abandoning his cat. The kid isn't more important. The kid is equally important. And the wife is less important. And the cat was first. If the partner has an issue with the cat, the partnership ends. If a kid would be problematic with the cat, then you don't have a kid. That's the responsibility you take on when you adopt a pet. If you already have a wife and then adopting a cat would be an issue then you don't adopt the cat. But if you already have a cat, then any issue your partner has with that cat is a real breaker if they can't get over it.

When my sister had her first baby, my parents decided to set up the crib early. The idea was to get their dog accustomed to the baby being in the house. They put a squeaky toy in the crib and would squeak it to simulate the baby. We went out one day for a few hours. When we got home the bumper was torn out of the crib. Well, in spite of the panic that followed, the dog was fine with the baby. Apparently, Bridget just wanted to see what was in the crib. She would sit there with her chin on the edge of the mattress and just watch the baby.

When you write your will, always include a penalty for fighting the decisions you made: “I fear my wishes may cause jealousy or resentment. Reflect on your own actions. Any attempt to dispute this will invalidates the inheritance to that person.” It’s also a good idea to mention everyone, even if you left them nothing: “I leave nothing to my brother, Robert. This is intentional. He knows why.” You can also include loving messages and explanations about the gifts: “l love all of my grandchildren. I’m so proud of them all. I hope this helps toward their financial independence. I’ve included an extra amount for Sally, in thanks for all her generous help as I got older. I can never repay her for helping me stay in my home.” The very best advice on writing your will is to go through an attorney. You can print off a form online and DIY. Don’t. Unless you don’t have anything for your survivors to fight about

Why is it in these stories that so often the family members that will steal your car /also/ are incredibly terrible drivers that /immediately/ get into accidents, like they seemingly literally can't go for a single drive without crashing it, or maybe they've done it before but this is the first time they've been caught at it? Of course it could also be because the /reason/ they're going to steal a family member's car is because they don't have one of their own because /again/ terrible driver.

Taking pictures and videos at a public pool is protected by the first amendment. Assuming this was in the us, she had the right even though it's creepy, and the op was in fact committing several crimes. Assault, theft, and criminal harassment (could be switched with disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace). Taking the camera was theft. Grabbing in from her hands was assault. Showing off the stolen property to other people in front of her, taunting her, and inciting others to taunt her are all harassment. And if that lady actually has money, that cop probably cost the tax payers a hefty chunk of change. The cops weren't obligated to act, but they did fuck up by threatening her for reporting several crimes that were actually happening and that she was the victim of. I don't feel bad for her, but I do think op is just as bad and being in a cell next to hers. She did commit crimes by going into people's property and filming into their windows. The tax issues aren't criminal, but they would have some civil penalties. Its only a crime if it's intentional and ignorance is negligence, and it's easier for the IRS to go the civil route, anyway.
@ShapesWithoutColors
@ShapesWithoutColors 6 ай бұрын
Oh, and the police wouldn't take her stand for not paying taxes. They'd take her stand for not having a business permit. And not having a permit is also a civil matter, usually. It depends on the business. The fact that it's food, she might have other compliance issues, and some of them might be criminal.

The first story is the typical city person who thinks they can move our into the country and do whatever they want. Where I live, it's common for people to move out here and think that they can let their dogs run free. They don't understand that the leash laws apply out here too. The dogs have a tendency to chase livestock and kill chickens and when I was a kid, the dogs would mysteriously disappear. Back then the farmers kept a shotgun to stop the problems because the city people thought it was their dog's right to run free in the country. The last time I had to use that method of animal control, the owner came asking if I had seen his dog. I told him that if he was letting his dog run free, then most likely his dog did something and got himself shot. He wasn't out here in the country for very long once he understood that.

I don't think you should divide the money evenly. I think you've done more for your grandparents than any of the others. You didn't plan this, you didn't cause this problem, they did. Yes, the family members are being ridiculous. Your family members are trying to take advantage of you. No one else is entitled to money your grandparents left to you. Splitting the money will only encourage your family members to continue to impose on you. I've been in a situation somewhat similar, and it's a rabbit hole you don't want to go fown.

Don't give up trying to have children. A woman I know had 4 miscarriages but she had 4 children. My school teacher.and hunting partner and friend tried for 11 years to have a child. So they gave up trying. Then it happened and she became pregnant. They had a healthy boy.😊

45:53: Said adopted child, try actually reading the damn story. What a goddamn stupid thing to say. The cat existed way before the kid, it's not a replacement.

The old grandmother complaining about the pictures should have complained to the parents if the child, it is not the photographers job or responsibility to give her pictures. Also, she is claiming the pictures are bad, well if she never got any pictures, how would she know that they are bad? She needs to keep her lines straight as she sounds like she has no clue, she just needs something to complain about.

Your dad failed you and you don't need to forget or forgive. Luckily, my dad was a wonderful father and loved all of his three kids, two boys and a girl. Obviously he doted on my younger sister but never neglected us boys.
