I think most are here to praise the musicians - which they rightfully deserve. But I'm here to praise the audio engineer - one can hear the difference it makes, and it's a job well done in this recording.

This song was so intense, Jimmy James made his guitar sound like emergency services.

Saw these guys at the Detroit Jazz Festival this year...one word: PHENOMENAL. Jimmy James totally throws down on the guitar. If you're not moving, you're dead. People have all different tastes, but I can't help thinking the 20 folks who gave this a thumbs down must've had cotton balls stuffed in their ears.

The range is so crazy, in any other context i would have thought the solo was an off putting string of sound, but in this mode it's some next level thing i want to learn more about! Makes me realize i don't know much of what music can be

"Discover new music at KEXP" I heard this line while my mouth was still open (this is unintentionally the best advertising for KEXP) :) But seriously, thank you guys for giving artists like this a platform in a unique environment (Look at the smiling faces on the street). Amazing job by the sound guys for capturing this magic.

The guitarist is Jimmy James! If you like him and dlo3, he is also in a band called the true loves that also is featured on KEXP. All of these musicians are very talented.

Jimmy plays a Silvertone usually but this is a dirty white Stratocaster. I don't recall the amp even though I've jammed with him once.
