I'm from Sac and I've been a Kings fan since Mitch Richmond, I could tell you that the Kings never really been good until Chris Webber and Mike Bibby got there, Jason Williams was cool and fun to watch but Mike Bibby fit more better the him.... The Kings problem was the Maloof brothers, they didn't want to spend money and then they wanted to move the team, so from then on we had problems with players wanting to play here... DeMarcus Cousins was a good player but he was not a Saint, don't let him fool you he had a attitude problem when he didn't get his way... FYI the best coach the Kings ever had was Rick Adelman they should of never let him go

They play a different position. It’s difficult for a big to be held responsible for turning around a franchise in modern basketball. Fans like the guards and wings more. I don’t know, maybe it’s because they’re smaller and more relatable 😂 It took one that had the element of surprise (2nd round draft pick Nikola Jokic) to really change that stigma. Embiid is going through it now, the 76ers haven’t been a terrible team but Embiid definitely shares a big part of the blame for basically no reason.

Boogie couldn’t control his attitude early on and created a lot of disdain with his coaches and certain media members. Not to mention the referees even beyond his kings days. The Kings did not know how to tame the beast that was mr. cousins and tried to please him by eliminating coaches he didn’t like. Truly Demarcus is initially to blame. The franchise ultimately is to blame for not knowing how to respond to a such a dynamic freak of nature on the court. Firing the one coach Demarcus actually respected in Mike Malone, not creating stability in where the franchise was going to reside and committing to one coach and his vision for the foreseeable future. Those things really set back Demarcus and the franchise. It was a toxic relationship full throttle.
