You have to be incredibly skilled to be a phone booth scorer. I never even understood what that was until Melo kept dissecting it on his podcast and I went back to look at his game and saw exactly what he was talking about. Not needing that much space to score and only doing like 1-3 dribbles before getting that shot off is a dangerous player! Made me appreciate his game more.

Because they talking handles, mid range, iso scoring. Lebron is obviously the greatest scorer but he just get bucks in the flow of a game and a lot of his points come at the rim. It’s kinda how people diminish Shaq skills because he was just so big and strong and mainly dunked.

All time phone booth scorer Kyrie, MJ/Kobe, KD, Dirk, Jokic All these guys don't need setups or spacing. Can dribble up and score and make it look easy. If your roster includes names like AI, Kareem, Hakeem, etc., you didn't understand the question.

I believe phone booth scorers are referring to iso player in this case. Player who are good on a island, 1 dribble 2 dribble maybe a pump fake or strong pull up with counters like they also lamented. Dirk is the ultimate cause he scored alot no dribble literally in a phone booth type player.
