From “The Sleeping Brain...” paper, “Innocent sleep. Sleep that soothes away all our worries. Sleep that puts each day to rest. Sleep that relieves the weary labourer and heals hurt minds. Sleep, the main course in life’s feast, and the most nourishing”―William Shakespeare, Macbeth (2.2.50-52). Wishing peaceful restorative rest, Dr. Been and all! 😴

Fascinating and excellent presentation! Nine years ago, I almost died unexpectedly from a very large meningioma tumor considered cancer at Stanford, where I have received more than 20 MRIs with gadolinium injections. I believe some stays in my brain. I am now 73 yrs old and have significant memory loss when I used to have a sharp memory. I was radiated more than once when I was 2 weeks old. It was to decrease the large size of my thymus gland which was not large anyway. This caused damaged to my thymus and thyroid glands. Dr Greenspan (retired Endocronologist at UCSF) turned off my dysfunctional thyroid, and I have been on synthroid since then. I believe the infant radiation resulted in my brain tumor. After Cyberknife more than once, I have had continuous brain pressure, headaches and memory loss. God Bless you for your glymphatic and brain waste removal process. I am indebted to practice the process you have provided to a healthier brain! 🥰

Thank you so very much, Dr. MoBeen! This has been an incredibly helpful episode. This may help to explain why 2 women in my family developed a large tumor in the glial cells behind her nasal cavity while suffering from long COVID. Each women had brain surgery to have her tumor removed. Neither was cancerous. One woman, my beloved sister in-law with 4 young children (2 sets of twins, with the youngest having just turned 2 years of age) is now completely black-out blind. The tumor grew so big that it compressed the back of her brain against her skull & damaged her brain's ability to see. I have hope that Neuralink may be able to help her see her children again one day.

This is so very important topic for our modern/future day as most of us are going to be affected, one way or another, clogged or inflamed and clearing the waste is the only solution. I can't believe some basic information are only about ten years old! I would like to add that the system explained so far works perfectly just as the traffic flow in Toledo or Omaha. But as the complexity level increased toward the level of LA or NYC, the system starts to break down and it is dealing with these factors that are quite vital ... that eventually we must bring AI to help treating patients. For example, can AI help induce N3 sleep, or even cryogenic sleep? It is very exciting to think about for a start.......

18:56 I think you misspoke, fish oil is Omega 3 not Omega 6. Studies have shown for those suffering chronic migraine headaches, massively reducing Omega 6 in the diet and massively increasing Omega 3 in the diet, eliminated most migraines. We are drowning in Omega 6 oils. People often ask about taking too much fish oil while ignoring the massive amounts of Omega 6 oils they consume every day.

Thank you for the great visual. Made me think of another analogy, that’s not apples to apples, but. A French drain put into a basement so that the cinder blocks (holes) don’t fill up with water, thus expand the wall, that water/fluid is then carried thru the French drain to a sun pump (back of the neck), but let’s assume (made up) that there was amyloid on the basement floor that was washed and then went into the sun pump. Any additions to this analogy? Thx.

What causes a-Amyloid proteins and alpha-synuclein proteins to go rogue? There are so many defective protein based brain issues. In the amyloid/tau spectrum, we primarily have Alzheimer’s. In the Alpha-Synuclein spectrum we have multiple systems atrophy, Lewy body dementia, Parkinson’s, disease, and Parkinson’s disease with dementia. So, would better function of the glymphatic system address the problems with both proteins? I need to understand what causes a-syn protein damage.

@ashleylala4293
@ashleylala4293 Жыл бұрын
Check out the FLCCC protocols for long Covid and vaccine injury. I have long Covid and here are the things that help me with my severe migraines, stiff neck and sinus problems... Fluvoxamine and Ivermectin work great but Fluvoxamine has lots of side effects for me. I usually take 24 mg Ivermectin first (Dosing is based on weight, I weigh 108). If the Ivermectin doesn’t work within a few hours, then I take the Fluvoxamine. I have heard Prozac may work as well but I have not tried it. Nasal irrigation with salt and iodine Occasional Claritin if sinus pressure is severe. See Dr Been’s video with Tina Peers on Long Haul Syndrome. She talks about mast cell activation syndrome. Avoiding high histamine foods for a couple weeks was helpful. I have to avoid alcohol entirely and eat minimal sugar. These both seem to trigger intense neurological inflammation for me. I also take a charcoal binder a couple times a week (GI detox by Biocidin) because we are being exposed to a lot of chemical toxins and they are very inflammatory. Stretching and gentle movement. I do light yoga, Pilates and use a foam roller to stretch my neck and spine. Glutathione IVs once a month. I started with 1,000 mg and now I do 2,000. These really help the severity and frequency of the migraines. The price should be around $50 for a push IV but some clinics are price gouging, so it’s good to call around. I hope you look into some of these things and find solutions that work for you to restore your health. I know how challenging is and I pray that we all can regain our health 🙏🏼💓

My daughter was recently diagnosed with idiopathic intracranial hypertension. She has had swollen lymph nodes in her neck for some years now. Will share this with her. Maybe lymphatic message will help those lymphnodes. In 2019 my grandson, her son, shot himself, she was home, heard the shot, found him. PTSD and severe panic attacks followed. She is doing much better. But surely has had high cortisol. She was told she was pre- diabetic . Also found she had severe sleep apnea, stopped breathing 32 times in an hour. Had a severe mold exposure in a home she lived in about 15 years ago. Has frequent sinus infections. Just wondering if swollen lymphnodes could be a response to their being overwhelmed somehow from all the above. Could the diagnosis of idiopathic intracranial hypertension be related to all this. Any thoughts or info would be welcome. I am not satisfied with the idiopathic diagnosis . There is some thing wrong causing this problem. Smooth muscle cells line blood vessels. Those smooth muscles cells can thicken and become stiff due to insulin resistance affecting a growth factor. This impairs their ability to function optimally which further affects the organs and tissue they are serving. I got that from some study. Since insulin resistance seems to be a common problem and apparently is a contributing factor in the development of many of the health issues we are dealing with wonder if that is also a possible problem.

Do you also believe that women sleep less after menopause? After menopause at 60 its all downhill for me. I get regular massage to clean my system but alas sleep where is it.? Also use red lit therapy and infrared. And noise machine. So what would you propose to sleep better after 70? Will melatonin help or HTP suppliments, or magnesium, calcium taken at nite help? Would love your opinion.

I have measurable cognitive impairment from simple Isolated Senior's Syndrome. I am on no medications, manage my insulin resistance with diet. Not enough attention span to actually persist through this. Sorry. Too impaired to learn how to help myself re: my impairment.

Is there any empirical evidence that this theory of the cause of Alzheimer's is true? Has anyone performed autopsies on Alzheimer victims which show that AQP4 actually migrate to the astrocyte's cell body? Do you have electron micrographs of this relocation? Has anyone blocked the AQP4 channels and then observed an accumulation of amyloid plaques? Has anyone stressed mice and/or rats and observed a relocation of the AQP4 channels?
