She absolutely does. The longest I have been sober is four months. I can't seem to stop, no matter how hard I try, and I have been battling 6 years now, this alcoholism. This song makes me cry. Along with Dancing With the Devil. Unless you've lived it, you won't get it. People that haven't lived it don't get how hard it actually is to overcome. Luckily I haven't lost my job, or apartment or anything like that over it, but there have been times I have wondered it I was going to.

It kills me to know how disappointed Demi is in herself. She finally broke her sobriety and the first thing she did was apologize for it. She feels so horrible for doing it and probably thinks that everyone else does too. She probably expects to lose fans over this and for everyone to be disappointed in her. She isn't proud of herself for staying sober for 6 years but instead disappointed in breaking sobriety after 6 years. It kills me to think about how much hate she probably gave herself because of this and I am so proud of her for staying strong for this long. When something as heartbreaking as this happens she gets out there and tells her story through a beautiful song. So please instead of leaving Demi like she thought so many people would do, stay and support this amazingly strong and talented woman.

I am a counselor in a drug and alcohol treatment facility and my group wanted to find a song I think they would relate to. So I came straight to this song. My clients were in tears because many related to it. The men and women had tears flowing. It's such a deep song. It makes me wish my mom would say these things to me. But I'm not losing hope. A few months ago i lost my best friend. He had bipolar troubles and bad alcohol and drugs habbits. He was constantly fighting against it but his disorder was too strong and he took his own life back. This song always made me think of him and now that he is gone its so painful to listen to it... I know it sounds cliché but life is worth living and even when you are feeling so low that you think there is no escape, just remember that you will never be alone, you have your best friend, and maybe your family as well... there is always somebody to rely on when you are feeling bad. Suicide might feel like a solution when you are desperate but trust me it does soooo much damage on the people who remains after your death (family, friends etc). I couldn’t say goodbye to him and the loss and pain is something I have to live with now and it’s not easy every day. Quiet 993 I am not saying this in a rude way but I knew exactly what she meant but sober I thought it was very brave of her to come out with this documentary not just to see what happened to her but to admit that even after she almost died and had heart attacks and strokes she came out and did it again and she’s even saying that she’s not giving up all drugs that’s how much a drug drug and drugs that you like can take your life because you don’t feel like you have a life when you’re not using them it changes your brain I’ve seen it and I give her kudos for speaking her truth and not getting up there and say a lie that she’s sober now I’m really proud and I think she’s a very strong woman I am a wonderful singer and she had a little bit of a warped way of thinking about she would get justice for what a man did to her being raped twice but that’s how she thought she had the power back.
