@@chuamengkim6020 China has plenty of problems also. The leader of CCP is a psychopath, and is trying to have complete control over the people, jailing anyone who talks against the government. They are trying to bully all of their Neighbors and trying to dictate to other nations what rules and laws should be passed by the government of other nations. The two Canadians they are holding are only to counter the arrest the Canadian government had no choice to do because they have an agreement between the US and Canada to arrest anyone who has committed crimes against either nation. And Hong Kong As well as Taiwan have way too many dual citizens, and wealthy powerful Nations as well. So if the Chinese government goes into either one of these Sovereign areas and tries to invade, it will start a third world war. and if that happens China's going to loose big time.

To stay silent on their Humans Rights Violations?? China has been culturally cleansing the muslim community from the country. Putting the uyghur people in internment camps. Raping the women, taking their organs and using them for slave labor. The WHO was shielding China in the early stages of the COVID outbreak. Thank you Vijay! You are leading by example and it's about time that professors worldwide, historians and psychologists and constitutional law experts put their heads together to the standing militaries who hold the Constitutional keys in each respective Nation controlled by Rome

What Vijay Prashad says here is very interesting... A brilliant and very complete analysis

He fails to mention China is an oligarchal state with a slave population. This was propoganda.

A very compelling Marxist analysis.

Unfortunately very one sided and wilfully ignorant of so many of the terrible shortcomings of the dictators of Beijing.

@@naguoning yep. so many in the audience think this is 100% truth from the heavens. he has a Marxist perspective that is refreshing after all the propoganda we’re fed but he does not ever criticize China.

Japan has lost its Mojo after receiving two atomic bombs, courtesy of it's master US. It is now so sad to see the Japanese government has lost it's self-respect and is being used by US to provoke it's main trading partner China. It is the interest of Japan not to provoke China who will be the world economic superpower and have friendly trading relationship, like S Korea.

Instead of obfuscating or omitting acts of aggression by the US Empire, this is one of those rare "Democracy Now" interviews that actually pushes back against US imperialism. It gave me reflections of Amy's interview with General Wesley Clark exposing the "Seven Countries in Five Years" Pentagon memo. Wouldn't it be great if "Democracy Now" returned to that level of integrity; but one has to take small blessings where one finds them. If nothing else "Democracy Now", please attempt to maintain this level of journalism.
