We speak with Mansoor Adayfi, a former Guantánamo Bay detainee who was held at the military prison for 14 years without charge, an ordeal he details in his new memoir, “Don’t Forget Us Here: Lost and Found at Guantánamo.” Adayfi was 18 when he left his home in Yemen to do research in Afghanistan, where he was kidnapped by Afghan warlords, then sold to the CIA after the 9/11 attacks. Adayfi describes being brutally tortured in Afghanistan before he was transported to Guantánamo in 2002, where he became known as Detainee #441 and survived years of abuse. Adayfi was released against his will to Serbia in 2016 and now works as the Guantánamo Project coordinator at CAGE, an organization that advocates on behalf of victims of the war on terror. “The purpose of Guantánamo wasn’t about making Americans safe,” says Adayfi, who describes the facility as a “black hole” with no legal protections. “The system was designed to strip us of who we are. Even our names were taken.”

Many of us who support Julian Assange fear terrible things will happen to him. The main charge against him is rape of two girls who he had consensual sex with but may not have used condoms against the wishes of the victims, it is alleged. However, we believe this was just an excuse to imprison him and have him extradited to America. American courts are filled with judges who are politically driven. They are nominated by Republicans and Democrats - both parties seem like polar opposites but are actually part of the establishment and most politicians and judges know the game and how to play it. When it comes to cases of people like Assange and Gitmo detainees, they will never provide justice. It is important to note that the status of Assange and Gitmo detainees is a grey area for US courts and they use this to their advantage.

@@eles2371 first off the Quran will not bring peace to this earth and Muhammad is and always will be a false prophet. Your Quran is based off a book of my people yet Muhammad is not a Jew. Salvation comes from the Jews not the Muslims and I’m not referring to the fakes that are in my lands today. The Quran states to seek the people of the book which is referring to the Torah. Your Muhammad was a warlord and did not convert people with peace but by the sword.. peace will come out of Israel and Again not the land but the people of the book. People of the Book (Arabic: أهل الكتاب‎, ahl al-kitāb) is an Islamic term which refers to Jews, Christians, and Sabians.[1][2] It is also used in Judaism to refer to the Jewish people and by members of some Christian denominations to refer to themselves. In Judaism the term "People of the Book" (Hebrew: עם הספר, Am HaSefer)[5] has come to refer to the Jewish people, in reference to the Torah or the entire Hebrew Bible.[6]. The only thing I do appreciate from your people is the destruction of those imposters, please continue and rid free of my ancestors lands of those aliens who are from afar!

During the holocaust, amongst the Nazi soldiers, a few had consciences that could not bear what is being done, to which they said: this Jewish business, no one will forget, and no one will forgive, and it will come back to us, not just you, and me, but to our families and to our country. This Muslim business, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Pakistan, Libya and all the other sanctioned, invaded, and couped countries are the same. No one will forget, and no one will forgive, and it will come back to America, not just the murderers and warmongers, but to the homes of those soldiers and to the entire country.

It wasn’t Hitler that killed the Jews, it was people ‘just doing their job’. Throughout history those in ‘authority’ have committed untold crimes against the people for a pay-check. Most (if not all) crimes eventually come to be understood as superstition or brain disorders. One minute they’re chemically castrating Alan Turing, the next they are waving rainbow flags in the street. Blindly following political agendas to lock people up and torture them physically and mentally for whatever this weeks biggest fear tactic is.
