People like Swalwell, who probably never performed hard, physical labor, seem to be terrified of it. It's not the worst thing to have to do. I watched Matt Gaetz interview on this spying. While I can agree his being with a spy and getting no punishment is stupid and should be punished but during the time Swalwell was with Fangfang he was privvy to no sensitive information so nothing major was lost or information that the Chinese wouldn't have already gotten soon enough anyways.

This is how Democrats view income tax. Working and employment are not guaranteed or considered rights. Therefore, your job and someone giving you money to do it is "voluntary." Hence, the excise tax on you receiving that money (an event) is you voluntarily saying you will take that as part of the contract because you *choose* to work.
