There is a reason Reagan won in '80, Bill Clinton won in '92, Blair won in '97, Obama won in in '08, Trump won in '16 and Johnson won in '19. It is simply that all of them were rock star politicians who could connect with people emotionally. Since becoming the Democrat nominee Kamala Harris has, to many folks surprise, demonstrated that she too is potentially a genuine rock star politician. In this debate she absolutely destroyed Trump exposing him for exactly what, at heart, he truly is and in the process removed any question of potentiality. Trump has nowhere to run and nowhere to hide now. He can't debate Kamala again because she'll destroy him again and he can't not debate her again because she'll call him chicken. All she has to do is put her hand on her chin, look at him, raise her eyebrows and smile to reduce him to a sad parody of himself. Donald Trump is now just a support act for the Kamala Harris road show.

The only way trump will agree to another "debate" would be if it's on Fox with Ingraham and Watters as "moderators". trump's staff will definitely not want to expose him to another debacle like the last one. I agree that Harris needs to start concentrating on the issues, especially the economy and immigration. But it's also true that voters who aren't politics geeks only start to engage after Labour Day. So now is the time to start working on more substantive topics, while continuing to hammer trump's insanity.

For minorities in this country, we and our posterity could very easily be in doubt. @consideredwhisper on alot of things- 1- Democrats aren't in a hysteria. They are genuinely excited. Big difference. 2- Older voters while they vote the most aren't the main target. Young ppl are very important. Getting them out to vote can tip an election. 3- the Democrats aren't celebrity driven. It is very grassroots and driven by popular politicians. The celebrities are very politically active in Democratic politics. 4- Kamala talked plenty about policy. From housing, immigration to abortion and the Gaza issue. 5- she didn't bait him.
