Sadly I knew someone that happened to. Guy was about to deploy overseas, GF finds out she gets pregnant and tells him she's getting abortion while he's over there. He begged her not to, his mom was going to take care of the baby until he was back. She ignored that and had the abortion because she didn't want to give up her nice body and party lifestyle.

I was really shocked by the discussion starting around the 2 minute mark in this video. I do find it "horrible and evil and dystopian" to even think that one state should have the right to control your actions while you are in another state or to prevent you from leaving a state because of your thoughts. At the end they're talking about the potential for the Supreme Court to rule on an unborn baby's personhood and how difficult it could then become to give somebody who didn't choose to have sex a choice in the matter. While I can certainly see that possibility, that would require states like New York to recognize the US constitution. They already go against it whenever it's inconvenient for them.
