Of course I will probably get chewed out for this comment but oh well nothing I haven’t heard before but this is to DADDY CORNSTAR!! I THINK and yes it is MY opinion (we are allowed to have one. BUT I THINK YOU DO A GREAT JOB IN THE CEMETERIES BUT IT SURE WOULD BE RESPECTFUL IF YOU WOULD WEAR A SHIRT WHILE YOU ARE THERE. I have noticed you are pretty much the only one that goes shirtless and if that’s what you like to do that’s you BUT I JUST WANTED U TO KNOW IT SURE WOULD LOOK SO MUCH BETTER IF U WORE A SHIRT WHEN YOU ARE AT THEIR LOVED ONES FINAL RESTING PLACE. (Again, my opinion so if u don’t agree just continue on your way and I won’t have a reason to say anymore). and I do LOVE THE CORNSTARS!!! ALL OF THEM!!

I wanted to say thank you to Papa cornstar for the respectful way you take care of the graves. I never thought about what people do or who takes care of the graves after the funeral and after the loved one is in the ground. this was really nice and respectful and it made me feel much better. Even though I have not lost anybody lately. When my grandfather died it was not explained to me how they would fill in the hole after they laid him to rest. I take great comfort in knowing that there are people out there like you that care about other people that you have not met to the extent where you make sure that their loved one is safe in their new home Thank you from the bottom of my heart. also I want to let you know I'm visually impaired and I'm using the talking app on my phone so if words come out wrong please let me know and I will try to fix them Thank you and have a blessed day.

Just a tip from a old electrician, pull off one of the boards and wire your new outlets from the outside, saves making a mess in the house, you can stub the wires into existing interior walls to get past the foundation. Being old has its advantages

Wavy glass, single pane windows. My sister used to have me sleep in her bed to warm it up when she was on a date, payback! I wet her bed! (14yrs older than me). An old trick to make a porch feel good is paint the ceiling and soffit areas a light blue. You can sit in the shade and it’s still bright like you’re sitting in the sun. Also when you need lots of straight tongue an groove boards for flooring or replacing a soffit like your porch, look for old flooring from a roller skating rink. That’s just a couple ideas that saved me a lot of money on my home and made my porch feel better. I figure at this point you have a plan so I can’t wait to see what you decided!

Good to see repairs being made to your 103 year old home. The only thing is, why not just repair and renew it back to its glory? This home has been through a lot and is in excellent condition, with minor repairs needed. How many 103 year old things look this good? By the way, Tyvek house wrap is not waterproof, It is a water resistant barrier that doesn't like sunlight and will not last as long as the old barrier that was removed. The old wooden siding looked to be in good condition and with minor repairs or replacement, then paint it will last a long time. Sometimes the quality of modern new products are not as good as the old. The saying out with the old in with the new is not always true. Anyway, good job and good to see the progress you have made to make it your home. God Bless!
