Every demolition man game I’ve seen has been pretty good including this game. The genesis version is what I grew up playing and it was such a good game

Granted, it's not a perfect game by any means...but man, *major* points for creativity and trying something different. Being tasked with developing a tie-in video game for a cheesy action flick, they put in so much more effort than anyone would ever expect them to.

@Carterb92 Firstly, action movies after Demolition man outsold it by astronomical amounts within the same year and after, and that's fact. Since your entire comment is based on false information, everything after should be disregarded. However, I will still continue. The 3DO Sold over 2 million units worldwide (real number past 2 million is unknown, could be close to 3), then the hardware was bought by Samsung in early 1997 and sold until 1999 in South Korea. In Japan alone, the 3DO (just Panasonic, not including Sanyo and exporting hardware) sold 850,000, doubling OG Xbox sales. The 3DO saw releases in US, Japan, Korea, EU, Aus, Taiwan, Canada, and Russia. In comparison to actual shitty consoles like Jaguar, CD32, and Pippin (that for some reason it gets lumped in with) the 3do library and sales eclipse them like the earth does the moon. This particular version of demolition man was 3do exclusive, however SNES and Sega Genesis both had a demolition man game. The fact of the matter is: 1: Demolition man did not do well at the box office, but other action movies did in that decade. Therefore less money would be dumped into the IP. 2: you are another NPC with another incredibly ignorant opinion.

@Carterb92 you want to bring your personal opinion into account, when speaking on a matter of fact. If Jurassic park came out right when demolition man came out, and box offices 1 BILLION dollars... That means the public was still fairly captured by action movies. If twilight made BILLIONS that means the public was fairly captured by it, which gives a fixation. Demolition man was a singular action movie that just didn't fair well in the 90's. You just have no argument other than "I think it's bad. Therefore it's bad."

@Carterb92 Your original statement: Demolition man came out when people lost interest in action movies False. Action movies were booming. Demolition man just didn't make the cut. Your point: lost of interest in action movies lead to development studio wasting resources on (insert opinion) the 3do. False and opinion driven. Jurassic park made billions on the movie, games, and merch, and that's just one movie. Action movies were far from "dead". Fact. 3DO was not popular, but it's sell numbers show it wasn't the Atari Jaguar or CD32. Fact. All devs who worked with 3D titles on 3do skipped right over the jaguar and went straight to PS1 with the titles they made that sold well on 3do, or did brand new ones. Fact. You're just mad someone proved you incorrect on the movie statement, and explained why your opinion is stupid/ignorant regarding why it wasn't on anything other than 3DO. Demolition man just didn't make as much money in the theatres, bottom line. Why spend more money on that IP when more popular movies are coming out?

For a 90s movie the video games for demolition man were surprisingly decent i really liked the sega genesis game didn't have the sega cd version as it was not released in my country but having played a emulator it seems good.

Каеф, легенда моего детства! Я финальный бой до сих пор помню, я проигрывал, потом как в фильмах про Ван Дама, отчистил сознание, просто решил получить удовольствие от драки! Потом это и в жизни применял. Красиво его победил, помню что с ноги в голову попал несколько раз под ряд! Ты отлично дерешься, я помню это не просто.

John Alavardo said the early version of Demolition Man featured you walking through a 3D World, but it proved to be far too much of a headache, so they settled on static shoot out areas and the more ambitious movement scenes being used as non-interactive links.

@@MorrisChannel4 Not likely, 3DO had a slight advantage on PSX for some 2D effects (PS had no 2D hardware and had to use 3D to imitate it, and video suffered due to lack of supporting architecture) so it likely would have ran worse. Several 3DO games ran better on 3DO than PSX. Sure some ran better on PSX as wel, but those were mostly less complex polygon focused games without much going on. There's a reason much of the moving objects and background were removed/reduced in Need FOr Speed on PSX, as well, as certain textures and the FMVs.

This demolition man videogame looks cool when it came out back in the early 90s it was better then the super Nintendo version and Sega version also the graphics were cool like an arcade version it was move click aim shoot game similar to die hard 2 trilogy game and die hard 2 Viva Las Vegas the 3d fight scenes were great also the car chase sequence also and the 3do shooting missions this wouldeve been a cult classic on 3do never knew 3do existed watch the full movie gameplay of demolition man on youtube a couple of days ago

You gotta hand it to the developer. They tried so hard to make this not another lame "Interactive movie". They actually did something interesting with the FMV technology.

3do doesn't have "fmv technology". Nothing in the hardware is dedicated to video decoding. It's all decided in software.

Динамичная, разнообразная, очень крутая игра. Тут и погружение и графика, озвучка, музыка, на высоте все, а во времена 90 - х это была фантастика, даже сейчас смотрится интересно. Современным разработчикам стоит брать пример. 🤜🤛👌👍

I have the 4 part comic book adaptation. There should be sequel books and comics and a video game prequel to this movie. There's a scene cut out when Sylvester Stallone fights Jesse Ventura. I believe in the cut out Jesse Ventura fight on Sylvester Stallone defeating Jesse Ventura is knocking him out. There are other cut out scenes with CryoCon Henchmen taken out. I started a petition for the deleted scenes released.

The 3DO was a very capable system and even superior to the PS1 in video playback and system memory. Even though 3D games would usually have way lower frame rates compared to PS1 it's 2D graphics and 3D textures usually were higher resolution because of more memory. A good example of this is the in car graphics on Need For Speed. The car interiors look much better on 3DO but the frame rate is noticeably worse. I would of loved to see a 3DO port of Killer Instinct with it's MPEG playback capabilities the stages could of looked just like the arcade.
