Hi Matt. I'm David. I wanted to say thank you. I'm a veteran who has had bad times over the last few years. I had a really bad stroke awhile back and ended up in the hospital for almost 3 months. I watched my first demo ranch video while in the hospital. Watching you and laughing at your videos helped me through all the difficult times. I love your videos and thank you for getting me to where I am today. You're awesome!!!!!

Episode idea: boat races. Get a bunch of toy plastic boats, string, and maybe fishing weights. Then with pistols of different calibers see which will push boat farthest or fastest. Tape em in a boat. Fishing weights to even weight of boat and gun. String path to maintain boat direction. Then a little cylinode to push trigger (something you could use going forward instead of string.) Different weight bullets vs powder could be fun expitiment.

One thing i will say is i bought a cheap Panzer AR-12 for shits and gigs. A lot of people bitch about them stove piping but all that tells me is that they're weekend shooters. I bought 2 cheap boxes of Federal light loads and put the shotty to work. After about 75-80 rounds i had zero malfunctions. still one of my favorite guns to shoot today. Biggest complaint about it is the stock is about 2.5 inches too long.

@@RichardCranium321 You're right, Joe doesn't have dementia, those are just insensitive old man things. Dementia actually changes the personality and physical ability of people. Makes them angry, makes them mess up their words, at times using words that don't fit at all. Turns them paranoid and untrusting. Angry outbursts become more and more common as they become confused as to why these things are happening. Dementia also causes muscle atrophy all over the body, including the mouth, making talking harder and slurring easier. Additionally, dementia tends to contract muscles naturally, making older patients lean forward, causing balance and motor issues. Like... drinking a cup of water, or walking down a ramp. Just saying, y'all were looking the *complete* wrong direction for dementia... the entire time. Joe doesn't have it, Don does.

The stamping, in case no one has mentioned it yet, is as follows: The manufacturer is Derya Arms in Turkey, Importer is APINTL, Armscor Precision International, which is based in Pahrump, Nevada. Armscor Precision (Phillipines) is the parent company of Armscor International and Rock Island Armory, maker of excellent-for-price 1911's. Derya Arms also makes the VR-60's and VR-80's for RIA, and QC is very good. Clean and lube the guns before shooting, and give them a bit of a break-in period. They are inexpensive guns that just run like mad, with decent accessories in the VR-60,80's.

My buddy and I ran out to the local shop and each of us bought one last week! 5 minute background check and walked out with it plus 5 boxes of ammo apiece. Absolutely fantastic shotgun, I definitely recommend disassembling it and giving it a really good cleaning and lubing. Keep it wet for the first hundred rounds for the break in. After that, maintain like normal! Also ordered up 4x 10 round magazines as well. Best to stock up while you can and it's available!

All i know is i have a red dot optic, a light, and i pulled the entire gun apart and lightly applied some assembly grease on all the moving parts. The thing runs absolutely flawlessly. "APINTL." is Armscor Precision International out of Parhump, NV. Rock Island's guns always seem a little tight when they're new, but seem to smooth out quite nicely over time. Check the screws are tight if you buy one though, the rear sight on my X4 autoloading 12ga. (same ghost ring w/ rail that Matt's got on that VR) loosened up after 50 rounds or so, wallered out the threads pretty good. @noneof urbusiness Not exactly: it's a Turkish Derya imported as-is by Armscor/RIA Imports, who operate out of Pahrump (I misspelled it in the initial comment), Nevada. Some of them got thumbhole stocks and whatnot removed/swapped out upon import. You're likely referring to the 1911-pattern guns that come out of the Philippines. As to the reason people buy them: they're cheap and they work.

It's swording problem; even if the cotton is tightly woven it won't stop bullets because the fibers aren't strong enough. Kevlar is strong enough, but if it's too loosely woven, enough momentum will get through to injure someone. That's small rounds, if it's a high powered round, even the best body armor won't stop it from breaking bones and causing organ trauma.

Just thinking out loud. Even if both materials were the same strength, one possible difference with Kevlar vs cast, is that I think Kevlar is still flexible so it can absorb and slow the bullet, where cast just needs to be strong enough to stop it.

I bought a new.12 gauge in an AR platform. Typhoon is the company and wow, it’s a great shooting weapon. Cycles any type of brass including target loads high brass and 3” magnum with no problems. Wasn’t a bad price either. Especially considering how versatile it is. I’ve been clay pigeon shooting and it great. I’ve had many different shotguns over the years and this is quickly becoming my favorite.

Ur lucky. We ppl in NY state can't even own one just bc it can't be pinned. It ridiculous. I want the A12 so bad. I've heard alot of great things about the shotgun in the ar-15 platform.

@@Hunterslife315 I can’t imagine. I’m in Florida so it’s better for purchasing such things. It’s so wrong for these states to punish law abiding citizens and restrict their decisions based on their ignorance and fear. I just acquired some extended magazines and it’s great for skeet shooting. A little unfair in the scoring compared to a over-under but hey it’s just for fun and a pastime on the ranch here. Good luck, hopefully you can get one someday.

@@francispitts9440 yeah it's horrible man. I bet it shoots like a dream?? If someone can come up with a pinned mag on the ar shotgun then it be great to own in NY. My wife and I really wanna movie like yesterday to either Florida, SC, AR or Texas just to know our rights won't be infringed on. I just can't believe our idiot of a president wants to take our rights and 2nd amendment away but give it all to another country. With all these new boarder crossings you know aswell as I do it's only a matter of time before terrorists find a way to hurt us and we can't even own guns to protect ourselves and our families. And thanks, you and your family stay safe out there.

I don't want them to be part of normal programming, but an introduction/ gun comp with the camera/editing/sound folks would be sweet. I know Matt used to edit all his own material, but just opening it up to content crew!

Hey Matt, Demolitia, the Emperor Arms Cobra VR60 12 Guage Magfed is also a great semi-auto mag fed shotgun. After the break in period of about 70 rounds and some good oiling it really does cycle well.

Texas should create its own version of Hollywood so we can have a source of movies and TV free from liberal propaganda. Kinda like how Austin is Silicon Hills.

I’m not sure if you’ve done it before, but powder fire extinguishers with full pressure are fun to shoot, just scatter them around and shoot them from afar , you’ll know if you hit them.

That shotgun holds a dang good pattern! I have a 22 TC made by them, very fast powerful punching round, I bet it makes it through those... .223 case with a little less than a .40 mag bullet, it is a 60grain
