The mask is supposed to be something that surpressed everything and also law bending. Yet Rimuru managed to crack the supposedly invincible mask.

I believe only the original creator can crack it… that mask has gone through time loop for countless of times resulting in continuity without beginning and end. So the universe considers that the mask is invulnerable except the point where it’s in rimuru’s hands as the mask was made by rimuru, give to Chloe, grown up Chloe goes back through time, give mask to Shizue and then fall into rimuru’s hands. Basically rimuru is the beginning and an end to the mask

He was going for any old Archdemon, but the Primordials function out of the norm and Noir actually decided himself to answer the call, because he wanted to meet and serve Rimuru no matter what. He was furious back then when Rimuru summoned Beretta, since Beretta is one of the demons from his bloodline and actually jumped in before he could haha. Also, being "capped" on the level of Archdemon doesn't mean anything, because it's not only the rankl of a demon that makes their power, but also their age and experience. So even as an Archdemon, being one of the seven Primordials means he is worlds apart of most other Archdemons nonetheless - as he showed during the OVA. You simply can't compare the Primordials with other demons, they are just too far off the scale.

Beelzebub is another name for Satan, and Raphael is one of the venerated archangels. It's funny how ridiculously powerful Rimuru is before becoming a demon lord, so it's going to be hilarious to see him flex as a true demon lord. And people thought they should be afraid of him before. As for the gifts, each monster under Rimuru will get to choose a new advanced skill. We'll see them as the rest of season 2 (especially part 2) progresses.

Diablo is already a Primordial Demon while he still have no name but he then have a power up or level up when Named as Diablo by Rimuru. Though he has a Demon Name "Noir" which literally means black since there are many colors, you'll see some of them on the following episodes

Something missing from the light novel I think definitely should’ve been included. At the point where Rimuru evolves Great Sage obtains sentience, or something very near to it and consciously decides to evolve so that it can be more useful to Rimuru, it’s “master”. Just 1 or 2 more lines and this would’ve been a huge detail.

In the first episodes, if not in the first episode: when the unique skill Sage evolved into Great Sage, it required a voice from the Voice of the World, in order to better serve its master - then it copied the voice of Voice of the World. So that's why, they have the same voice/voice actor. I know that's kind of too much, but it's good to know 😅

Great Sage knows the intention of it's master and will make it's own decisions to accomplish that. Much of what happens isn't Rimuru at all doing it but Great Sage doing what it knows is needed to be done to accomplish it.

@@tcb300198 But there is a moment during the multiple evolution attempts where great sage wonders to itself why it’s being so persistent in its own evolution, and it concluded that it wanted to be more useful to Rimuru. (Light novel for sure I don’t remember if the manga does it too). What I meant by huge detail wasn’t the fact that great sage is fully autonomous, that’s evident from the (minor) back and forths it has with Rimuru. The huge detail was that Great Sage had a moment of introspection and decided, for itself, what it wanted to do and that was serve Rimuru. If I take it one step further, it also would’ve fully foreshadow the events that (without going into too much detail for people who don’t know yet) leaves Raphael overwhelming frustrated.

The demon summoning he did to summon Noir is actually something he learned in a side story from the manga where he became an adventurer before the end of season 1, the anime doesn't cover it, but it is the first time he sees the demon summoning ritual and has Great Sage analyze and copy the skill for later use. He has used this summoning ritual once before when he met Ramiris in the dungeon, and Noir has been waiting to be summoned by Rimiru ever since he saw that he has Shizu's mask (an artifact that has the rule of infinity on it and can actually cause him damage) , but he missed his chance that time and another demon was summoned instead. This is why Noir is so desperate to serve and please Rimiru and why he was so happy to be able to prove himself

Wrong, the anime changed it, on episode 20 or so in season 1 Rimuru said Fuze gave him his ID instead of saying he got it by applying to the guild and passing a test, that's because the anime never expected a second season but then it got super popular.

He traveled to the kingdom of Belmund (a country pretty far away) and registered with the free guild as a monster slaying adventurer. He immediately shocked everyone and aced the tests because he is Rimiru.

The test consisted of a summoner emaniner summoning monsters, the testee would then fight and defeat the first monster and you passed the test, but if the testee could defeat more then they could increase the rank, but if they failed, then they would lose a rank. Rimiru defeated the first 2 summons in 1 move and taunted the examiner to go straight to the A-rank test. The examiner got pissed and used the demon summoning to summon a lesser demon to put Rimiru in his place. But Rimiru just beat the demon too.

So far the only characters introduced (till this episode) who owned the Sins Series skills are Rimuru (Glutton that evolved to Beelzebub), Milim (Wrath), and someone who Rimuru met (I won't name them to prevent further spoiler) who owns Greed. And indeed, it's not only Sins are the only series of skills in the anime. There's also Virtues and Angels. But Demons are evolved version of Sins skills (like Gluttony - Beelzebub) and Angels are evolved version of Virtues (like Wisdom - Raphael) Edit: And so far, correct me if Im wrong, Rimuru is the only one to own both a Demon and an Angel Ultimate skills.

Haven't seen people mention the Biblical reference in the move Rimuru uses, Megiddo. In the Bible, Megiddo is the location where the final battle of Armageddon (the end of the world) takes place. Satan consolidates all the unrepentant sinners for a final confrontation against God where they are all summarily destroyed, effortlessly. It's a real life ancient city with a valley nearby that has been the location of major battles in ancient history.

It's hard to think of "Black" being that strong while still being a Greater Demon, also from the limited amount I do know I think "Progenitor" might have been a better translation than "Primordial".
