OK, on one level, this was a little amusing. But there is a serious level as well. Many women were accused of witchcraft, and found themselves facing trial and death, even if they hadn't done anything 'witch like,' however you want to define that. For people who believe in the tenets of this church, which apparently includes a belief in witches, or at least a belief in what the pastor says, it would be terrifying to be accused of witchcraft by that pastor and for your whole congregation to start seeing you as 'other.' Fortunately, none of the congregation will probably want to hang anyone (we didn't burn witches here), but you don't have to hang when there is shaming and shunning.
@rudra622 жыл бұрын
True, no witches were burned in America. They were stoned or pressed to death, some died by drowning. More were shunned. Some were imprisoned. Some had many of their worldly goods taken from them.

This video restored my faith in human sanity. Thank you. While watching Greg Locke’s so-called ‘sermon’, he honestly disturbed me to no end. I mean, what kind of Christian pastor not only admits to entertaining discourse with demons, but actually *trusting* them at their word? Note that he never once utilizes any lines of scripture to “cast out” either demon or witch, but continuously evokes the demon and the message it supposedly fed him again and again and again.

It says something when it’s gotten to the point that someone like you is talking about him. It’s like he tries to be so controversial to the point that he gets any attention he can, any attention is good attention. I could go on with my opinions on him from experience and from being in the same city. My friends who invited me is also embarrassed to have ever joined, he has Asperger’s and Locke has recently said how children with autism are demonized. He also held a burn for any witchy stuff, like Harry Potter. This is highly embarassing and yet another reason that turns some people against Christianity. It makes it difficult for me to convince people that true Christians don't behave that way. I often compare radical Christians to Radical Muslims. I spent 4 years as an assistant pastor and 11 years as a youth pastor. I have never seen anything like this. And it certainly doesn't align with scripture. Not even close. I can sum up Christianity and scripture with one word. "Love". Because the word " love" appears over 200 times in the Bible depending on the Bible translation one is reading. Nowhere in the Bible does God command his leaders to identify and expose witches in a congregation. God certainly doesn't send demons to speak with pastors. God also does NOT command followers to protest abortion clinics, or gay pride events, or soldiers funerals. The only thing God commands us to do is love people, which can be difficult at times. God is the one that judges people, not Christians. Although some Christians do take it upon themselves to judge others. I feel awful for this guy's congregation. I wish I could go behind him and do some damage control.

The Bible is the story of Yahweh’s fulfilled plan of redemption given exclusively to the ancient Israelites cursed with the Old Covenant Law of sin and death and pertains to no one alive today. Here’s more... If you believe the Bible then you’d have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 15:24 that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. You’d have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 5:18, that the Old Covenant Law wouldn’t pass away until the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it (what Jews referred to as “heaven and earth”) passed away. You’d have to agree with history that the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it passed away in AD70. You’d have to agree with Paul who said in Romans 5:13, “Where there is no Old Covenant Law, sin is not taken into account.” This of course means that salvation was only needed by those who had sin taken into account, which is no one alive today. You’d also have to agree with Hebrews 9:15, that redemption was only for those who sinned under the first covenant, which again... is not us today. The bitter pill of truth is that no one has been saved nor redeemed for nearly two thousand years . The “church” has been in a massive error; a complete hijacking of ancient Israel’s redemptive narrative. “But...but... I’m a gentile!” Are you? The gentiles Paul and the disciples were preaching to were either Greek converts to Judaism or the elect diaspora, grafted-in descendants of the tribes of Israel who were dispersed among the nations. Through the ministry of the disciple’s great commission they were called out from the nations to again be a holy nation of kings and priests sealed for the day of redemption which only they lived to see. Nobody today is a gentile of that sort. Today’s so-called “Christians” have been hoodwinked into believing they’re sinners under a law that passed away and need a savior who said he came for someone else who will save them from a sin that’s already been removed and a judgement that already happened and allow them into a covenant that was made with someone else. The fact is we today were never and are not part of ancient Israel’s redemptive narrative, the Bible.~ Michael Bradley
