I totally agree, Demon's Souls, the game I spent more hours in my ps3, if I check I'm sure there must me more than 1000 hours easily, cause I played and replayed so much with my friend that we lost count, Dark Souls 1, was still really fucking awesome, still played a lot, not so much, and that's it, fuck Dark Souls 2 is my point, that is not a Souls game and was not developed from the same creators of Demons and Dark 1, so I'm ignoring him completely.

chinezeFURY No hate, I'm just saying that we have to learn from the mistakes, and I think this game could have been (for me) better than demon and dark souls, but some things they changed so much that I can't say that this is better than dk 1 and ds, if they had just made a game with better graphics, new armor, spells, weapons, new scenarios and new bosses, it would have been already a great game, and I was really expecting a challenge, to suffer at some part of the game that would have been really difficult, but unhappily no, people say new game plus plus gets harder, I don't want to finish the game once, imagine 3 times, but it's ok, cause Bloodborne is coming, and this one looks really amazing, at least have a good atmosphere and souls gameplay.

@shamlanbinali The Adjudicator's Shield is in 4-1, guarded by a black skeleton in the big stone building that you have to go through. To make your weapons magic, Give Ed the Flamelurker's soul (Red Hot Demon Soul) by talking to him repeatedly with it in your possession and hand it over when he asks. You have to upgrade your weapon to a certain point (+3, +6) and you'll start seeing branching magic paths, like Blessed, Dragon, etc.

The final battle in Demon's Souls is really meant to bring closure to the game. It'd be more accurate to fight the False King in 1-4 if you want a real last battle, though I usually do him way before finishing the game. Gwyn, without parry/riposting, is a highly aggressive nightmare. I love that boss battle. =)

I like the armor and weapon styles more overall. Is it a better game? I think it is. But it comes down to your personal preference overall. Demon's Souls is an amazing game.

Demon's Souls is a great game, but what i don't like about it compared to DS and DS 2 is that the endings feel too ''good ending bad ending'' to me. The endings in DS 1 and the new ending in DS 2 as well as the regular one are more ambiguous and even if you know what is happening in the ending you can't really argue you're doing the ''right'' or ''wrong'' thing, with Demon's Souls it feels way too easy to label this ending as a borderline happily ever after ending and I don't feel it had the same depth that Dark Souls had. And for those complaining about the boss fights, one of the strong points of the Soul's Series is that it does not compromise on it's art and lore to give you some AAA title cinema showdown with a giant generic evil being of superpower, they're supposed to provoke emotion and sometimes a sense of irony, they're more than ''just a boss battle''.

I like Demon's ending for that very reason. I like to feel that I did the right thing. Dark Souls kinda f***ed us after the DLC, because even in the Dark Lord ending, it's "oh, so you think you're right?" cue what happened to Oolacile. Fuck that. I don't like DkS2 at all, but I did enjoy the ending, because it's ambiguous enough to be whatever I wanted it to be and mean.

For a game that has such a depressing storyline and overall hopelessness, it was kind of anti-climactic to see such a generic ''good guy'' route in Demon's Souls for me. I like how Dark Souls made both endings seem like arguably desirable outcomes but still have flaws that didn't make them perfect solutions. I saw this lore video by vaatividya which could explain why nashandra was so easy. Most of the challenges and bosses in dark souls 2 were placed in the world by king vendrik. So maybe nashandra was so easy because vendrik put much tougher challenges in front of the chosen undead to prepare us to a point where nashandra wouldn't pose a threat to him/her.

@RemoTheDestroyer We've all had our share of death in this game and I'm no exception. Lots of good laughs to be had thinking about it. But you just go on until you learn patterns and enemy locations. My gold knight Faith character was on her 30+ play through when I recorded it, and that was actually my second character. My first was up in the SL180s before I quit her. Good times, good times. =)

No. In my final play through (the one I made with my Faith character), I actually did get hit while I was trying to move back. It didn't even do that much damage. I'd never been hit... ever... up to that point, so it put that fear to rest.

The game cycle starts all the way over. You have to find all of the NPCs over again. The second playthrough is considerably tougher, but every subsequent playthrough afterward isn't as much of a jump in difficulty.

This battle brings closure to the game, but it's not difficult by any means. Fight Old King Allant or the Flamelurker if you're looking for challenge.

@datsyuk13rules I have some other videos where I play through the entire stages. Time your run past the dragon's fire and get under it so you can shoot it down! Or just run through the rest of the stage. But if you're not good at the False King I'd summon a few blues.

Aldritch in DS3 sees a future full of water- And the old one is literally a giant tree monster with a core, residing in the bed of the world that has created demons to feed it's insaitiable hunger, and just so happens to come to you from a sea line. I wonder if the old one is some sort of product of Those abyssal fires used in DS3 mixed with a little of the process used to replicate the first flame that result in the bed of Chaos when it fucked up? It's a stretch, but it'd explain a few parralels, and in DS, there are parralel worlds, so maybe Aldritch saw into Demon Soul's.

Thechosenarne1 Because money. Exclusives sell consoles. Back in the day the reason to have an Xbox was Halo 2. I know a lot of people don't agree but the Xbox owes its fame to the Halo franchise, a console exclusive. PS2 outsold the Xbox because it had already built up its reputation with great exclusives such as Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, etc. Xbox had begun to build up its rep with exclusives too, primarily Halo and Gears of War. These games were just beginning to get popular as the PS exclusives mentioned above were dying down.

I agree with you somewhat about the Dragon God. Maybe a Shadow of the Colossus style battle, but that wouldn't have worked in Demon's Souls (would've been ****ing sweet though...). As for the ending itself, I love the good ending, but it's all personal. I like short and sweet, yes I'm a hero, and now I'm going home type of deal. Very nice, and makes it open ended to the player. =)

In Dark Souls, we get to fight Gwyn, damn challenging and fair fight, amazing musical score, emotional and powerful moment. In Dark Souls 2 (initial ending) it's Nashandra, not the hardest but still, cool-looking boss and good music, not as good as DS 1 but still ok In Bloodborne, we fight Gehrman and/or the Moon Presence, astonishing setting and musical score and just like Gwyn damn challenging fight but 100% fair all throughout (oh and there's the moon presence but, meh...) And this is what we get for Demon's Souls final fight? What a fucking letdown

+Dio Brando It's a message to the player about the result of trying to gain ultimate power through the demon souls and letting your body be corrupted beyond recognition by The Old One. Much more emotional and fulfilling conclusion to have saved the land you were trapped in than either of the Dark Souls endings.
