You can cheese the king by entering normally by just putting on Thief's ring, stand to the very right before the stairs as he walks forward, let him turn around and sneak up on him with poison cloud and wait for his death :p

17:25 - Re: Dragon God moving his arms into phase 3 position. This is consistent with what I've seen when messing around in debug with OG Demon's Souls. I think all his recoil/ pain animations just assume his final pose, so it'll jump to that pose for a moment. If I kill the Dragon God by dragging his HP directly to 0 before the fight even starts (when I first see him coming down the steps), he also crosses both his arms while he's dying, like as if he's been hit by both ballistae. 😅

lmao when I redid the fight in 1.00 recently I did notice he just switches between phase 3 head resting and phase 1, its very jarring

As for Astraea, I have noticed that if you shoot an arrow or two at her, then move back towards the path that Garl used to guard, he will be back at her side, and you can shoot magic at her from there. He doesn't move unless you get too close

a lot of the items I have equipped boost the damage (kris blade, sharpness ring, clever rat's ring at low hp, etc)

its a disc version unpatched thing, called a wrong warp, so cant do it if you have a digital version but I may be working on a video to at least do the same freeze 👀 even if we cant warp there

This was not useful for the old hero, i lost 56.000 souls because of this false tip. If your hand weapon is strong enough, don't use the soul arrow, it will simply just trigger him and he will jump on you, meaning that he will nearly certainly hit you and kill you. Just use the cloak and do a hit and run, repeating it until he's dead

Yeah I don't know how this is a "false tip," the same logic of "Just use the cloak and do a hit and run, repeating it until he's dead" I'm pretty sure is essentially what I said, except with long range beams 🤷‍♀️ and if not, you can just apply the same logic
