I get heaps of chunks and shards from just killing the first 2 green shamans. And a ton load of spices :) But no faintstones so far! I will try PBWT and fingers crossed I can finally complete my Blessed Knight Sword :))))

The shamans drop all of them. They just get more and more rare with the next tier. Crystal Lizards in 5-2 and 5-3 drop both. There is one near the 5-2 platform shortcut and one leading to the platform where you can shoot Astraea from.

@@professor5512 Lady behind pillar in nexus who says "umbasa" all the time. Speak to her when you have 20 faith or more. She does not give the lucky coin - she gives you a faintstone. Hope that helps

Giant depraved drop pure faintstones extremely rarely. They are super slow to kill compared to the shamans and 3-4 depraved you end up killing per run. They spawn in PBWT, which also increases drops.

Do the pure faintstones drop from these enemies in the PS3 version as well? Been trying with no luck.

Yes. I first did this on PS3. I don't recall the drop rate being very good.

I found the best method for me was to just kill the first shaman, run back and reset at the arch. Two fewer loading screens than this method and you don't have to grapple with the big red phantom or the regular mobs. If the second shaman falls in that pit after dying its painful to retrieve its item as well. I found lots of regular faintstones and pure, but chunks are the most rare. For those, I recommend getting all the lizards that drop them, and don't forget the black phantom in the swamp, while powerful, drops 3 chunks. Just got my great axe to +5 blessed today using this method. Higher AR per investment than the meat cleaver, plus it's regeneration is better. Hope this helps!

I usually go for Claymore and Lucerne upgrades first when I run a faith build. I PVP mostly though. As far as the method goes, I do it this way to keep it more interesting. The single guy reset I just can't do for more than a few minutes.

​@@connortodd4538 I should have said great axe is my favorite. It's just a bit harder to master in PVP. Once I get spacing figured out I mostly use that. Claymore is really useful when not locked on and Mirdan Hammer "spin to win" for when you don't want to try hard. My upgrade order/loadout: +5 Blessed Mirdan Hammer +5 Blessed Claymore +5 Blessed Great Axe +5 Blessed Guillotine Axe +5 Blessed Knight Sword +5 Blessed Great Sword +5 Baby's Nail

Great axe is my favorite as well, I used to like the meat cleaver, but I did the math and great axe is better on crushing for pure physical damage or blessed for better damage + healing. I just LOVE that hyper armor. It's so much fun and combos so well with healing

Yeah, I upgraded a lot of weapons to full. PBWT made the crystal lizards drop them often for me. Still rare, just not as much of a pain when not PBWT.

@@athapl5264 Crystal Lizards respawn whenever you kill a boss. So if You kill Tower Knight, all Crystal Lizards in Boletarian Palace will respawn (both those in 1-1 and 1-2). You can get several of what you need by doing the lizards in 5-2, killing 5-2 boss, redoing 5-2 for lizard respawns, kill the 5-3 zone lizards, until they are gone, fight 5-3 boss and redo 5-2 and 5-3 again and all of the lizards will be back again.

I did a normal playthrough but noticed that the shaman almost everytime droped a fainstone (i was pute white) So I either had insane luck or thats good too

Assuming you were getting the shards. For large, chunks and pure I believe you’re better off duping with a friend… err I mean PBWT. Seriously though, friends are massive timesavers in this game ;)

@@mikeincanada_ yeah shards And that might be true but sadly I have no friends who play it Well I get it with farming. Thats in my opinion the only really bad thing about demon's souls That the stones are so annoying to get (like Covanant items in ds3)

@@fabi3790 I farmed it too. My friends got on it a bit later and asked me to help out. Bummer, it seems to be one of the best remakes no one is playing, or more like not able to. Good luck!
