In regards to Lobos and everyone else. At 1:01:48 he mentions the Flamelurker cheese spot, when you trap him behind bones. It's still in the game but it's towards the back of the boss room, not the front. Another YTer, Prod, does this in one of his videos - albeit unintentionally. So the cheese spot is still in the game, just not in the same spot it once was. I just figured I'd try to clarify for Lobos and anyone else who decides to read this. Also, the 'cheese' is really RNG dependent. Flamelurker moves like a god-damn animal and sometimes it's really hard to get him there. I can link a video if anyone needs it. The conversation about whether or not Demon's souls is worth $600 or not is totally valid, and the idea that it isn't to some people is a joke to me. I bought my PS5 specifically for Demon's Souls. I've since replayed Bloodborne on it, and I got a digital copy of GoW: Ragnarok from a friend, or else I wouldn't have played that until the Steam release (which is, to me, far more likely than a Demon's Souls PC release or a Bloodborne 60fps release on PC, else Sony would have done that by now). My PS5 is literally a Demon's Souls machine, and my PC does everything else.

After struggling to make magic runs (of any type) viable & fun in Dark Souls 3, I cannot express how excited I am to give them a whirl in Demon's Souls. If Elden Ring has Soulsborne combat w/ magic builds, then I hope they give you more (and varied) damage options upfront, and that they just make spells cost Stamina instead of that BS Focus Points/Ashen Estus stuff DS3 experimented with.

I like that dark souls 3 returned to the fp method from demons souls. it gives you the option to allocate estus if you intend to use more spells where as in previous souls games (excluding demons souls) you had to rely on consumables if you needed more spells.

Last build I made was a faith lightning wizard, below are the details. End result very fun but very op. Class: Herald. Gear: Blessed Lothric Knight Greatsword, Talisman, Filianore Chime, Solaire Sword, Lightning Bandit Knife, Dragon Rider Bow (mainly for shooting certain bosses), Buckler (for parries). Armor: (Pure Fashion) Pale Shade Mask, Fire Witch Torso, Silver Knight Gauntlets, Painting Guardian Leggings. Rings: Sun first born, Favor n Protection, lightning Clutch, Prisoner Chain. Spells: Bountiful Sunlight, Sunlight Spear, Lightning Stake, Lightning Storm. This build I made was extremely effective in both pve & pvp. First I would bait the foe with melee to get them agressive, then I would cast the above mentioned lightning spells in said order, deals more damage than max hp possible when used on player.

i never had a problem with sorcery in ds3. yeah it sucks that we get barelly anything with the mana bar they gave(a massive overnerf that was uneeded in my opinion), but you can just use more estus. for a mage, you should probably start with a 2 estus to 3 m-estus. what really sucks is how long it take to get more powerfull spells.

for those interested in THE DOOR THE DOOR THE DOOR, there's been an update there's a brand new item called Ceramic Coin (Not gold) that show up exclusively in Pure White World Tendency in Fractured Mode. Distortion has found 2 as of yet, and they were both hidden inside boxes. One in 1-3, close to the first ladder you find in normal progression, and another one in 4-1, in a box next to Bilge. Okay, about 1:24:41 Mr lobos comments that most if not all of the content and mechanics were refined into darksouls 1. Whilst I some what agree with that statement, because a lot was, so thats fact. However, Demon souls and Ive played them all, demon souls has this ambience/feel that I felt the others didnt quite capture. I only felt again this way with kings field: the ancient city and Vagrant story.

Money is tight. If you don’t have enough to buy one, you can always start saving up for it. But then, you knew PS5 was com so you could’ve already done this. A year ago we knew. $50 a month is like $12 a week which like saving a dollar a day. For the fun investment, $500 is not a terribly big sum. Enjoy the console you own. I would not buy a PS4 until a game was packed in and had more than 500GB. I finally pulled the trigger when AC Blag Flag cMe with it and I got 1TB hard drive. Wait if you must or get a 2nd job for a month. Borrow is another option.

Hey lobos did you play demon's souls in fractured mode yet? ( you can access it at the new idol, which also remove sins if you accidentially hit someone). Would be fun to see since it just turns the gameworld around, so stuff that was left is right, same goes for your character and weapons.essentially everything is flipped. Would also be a great choice to combine with other challenge runs you have in mind.

Well some people don’t like playing on console, so the only reason they would if there was a game they really, really wanted to play. In other words. I prefer pc over console and, correct me if I’m wrong, most features on a console can be done on a pc. In that case the only reason I would buy a console was to play a specific, in this case Demon Souls, and that would mean that Demon Souls would have to entice me enough to buy a 500$ console to play it. Just felt you were straw manning the opposition. Also a buying a tv to watch Game of Thrones isn’t a good comparison, since you can use HBO on basically any device, that isn’t the case for Demon Souls.

They're called that, I believe, because of how unformed they seem to be - a tail and sort of fins or wings and a probiscus with pincers but no apparent eyes or nose or legs. I haven't ever done a magic run I a souls game. I've maybe started a play through with something in mind then I always gravitate back to what I always do. When I get a ps5 I actually want to do a magic run. Kind of because it reminds me of Harry Potter. I don't care for the Lego hp games or the old janky ps1 ones so the magic run could be a fun thing to emulate that. Would of course do regular melee runs too. I haven't ever played the game so plenty to do.

if you want a pure magic run, demon souls is probably the worst place to start, you REALLY need to avoid most enemies until you kill phalanx. try doing it in ds1 or 2. it will be far easier.

Especially with this title: You can emulate the original very well on your computer now. And seeing how gameplay is almost the same and some people even prefer the atmosphere of the old, it's debatable whether this would be a good purchase. Bluepoint added a hidden secret in a previous shadow of the colossus remake in which the player had to find 79 secret coins scattered throughout the map. It was done in order to honour the fan base that were dedicated to finding a mystery for over a decade. This door is intentional for sure, although for a different reason. Maybe this remake too has some hidden items which upon finding makes the door accessible.
