My theory on the marks is they serve as a sort of “Do or Die” boost allowing more oxygen to flow through the body and increase strength to finish off the demon. Also I find it funny Inosuke was making sure that Nezuko got his name right given he can’t get anyone’s name right

I've only watched the anime, and since we've met him, I've been a Giyuu fan. The moment he made the choice to be the "bad guy" but push Tanjiro not to give up internally (Tomioka telling him not to give up in his thoughts), I was soft for him. The kind of person who thinks of others and plays the part they feel they have to play in order for everyone to have the best possible outcome, often at their own detriment. You haven't been listening very hard then. People had valid criticisms for the season, myself included. It was too short for one thing so everything was thrown at you way too quick. You got to spent virtually no time with either Muichiro or Mitsuri, their backstories were thrown in there out of nowhere when it came to mitsuri in particular and the fact that the demons were to put it lightly boring. Gyokko especially was so boring of an antagonist that he didn't even get a backstory at all. Gyutaro and Daki got one then the only thing we got to see with hantengu was that he blamed everybody else for the stuff he did. That made people not care at all about them cause we knew nothing about them. Add onto the fact that not only were there 2 hashira that had no screen time before the arc but you also had 2 upper moons with the same issue thrown into one arc and a short arc in the manga too. That was a huge mistake on the authors part. If you're gonna throw that many new characters in then they need enough room to breathe. In season 2 6 new characters were introduced in Tengen and his wives and Gyutaro and Daki yet all 6 got development and extensive backstories. Season 2 was praised as a good season while 3 felt rushed and almost incomplete. That's the difference

I love that Giyuu allowed Nezuko to live and guided Tanjiro to become a demon slayer; I love his friendship with Sabito and their relationship with Urokodaki (previous water Hashira); and that he can show so much affection towards others despite hating himself over his heavy guilt. For anyone wondering: A more accurate way to describe the effects of the breathing styles is that the demon slayers perform super human feats which are so good at mimicking their element combined with the glints of their colored blades reflecting the light that it creates the illusion of the elements. On top of that certain superhuman feats performed by the slayers can effect the environment (I.E the air humming around a stanced thunder breather or a wind breathers strikes producing gusts or flame breathing causing the air to heat up)

Actually the thing that the mangaka said that the breathing styles aren’t actually visible was a mistranslation. They are in fact visible for the characters in the anime, but aren’t actually like physically the things they’re representing. So for example you can see giyuu’s water breathing, but it’s not actual water there

@@natalimoinaSanemi actually does work differently from the rest, he’s not controlling wind the way you’re thinking tho, he’s just swinging his sword in a particular way with such strength that it creates actual wind. An easy to understand example would be like when you swing a fan and it creates wind, you’re not controlling or manipulating it like magic, it’s just aerodynamics at play

As giyuu’s number one fan, I like him because of his character development throughout the manga. It is a really beautiful thing to see. Also because of his back story and how he grows from it and learns to let his past rest. ALSO HES JUST THE NUMBER ONE SAVING NEZUKO AND TANJIRO I LOVE HIM HIS THE BEST ‼️‼️
