The problem being that the few humans who are tasked with sorting these problems have to deal with the same broken system to fix stuff so nothing ever improves.
@M0rchaintАй бұрын
This is a major part of the reason why competition to KZbin is growing. When a strike, or demonetization, or any other complaint is lodged against someone it should ALWAYS include the specific instance (Video and Time), policy violation (Book, Chapter, and Verse), and who (Name and Position) filed it. It should not be possible to detach or redact any of this information from any correspondence regarding this complaint. I have been a part of several organizations where I moved them from the current KZbin complaint system to the Detailed complaint system. First came the complaints from the auditors. Then the number of complaints dropped by over 80%. It turns out that without details that most of the complaints are "fictional" problems. That is, the auditors were making stuff up because they disagreed with the content but there was no violation. Lastly, fixing the complaints became streamlined because everyone involved knew immediately what was wrong.
@robertjenkins6132Ай бұрын
What is an "auditor" (in the context of YT)?
@M0rchaintАй бұрын
@@robertjenkins6132 An auditor is anyone going over someone else's work to find errors. This is independent of context. Auditors are often the first to complain because their findings are often questioned. Therefore they prefer to remain anonymous and if possible to have the basis of their complaint remain anonymous. If you don't even know what they complained about it becomes that much more difficult to challenge. Auditors hate being challenged. If you do know then the company might rethink whether that auditor should remain engaged. Visibility creates both fairness and error correction.

It occurred to me yesterday (I'm slow about this stuff) that KZbin, under more usual contracts, would owe you for the money you lost while all these shenanigans were going on, plus additional fees (typically) for making a botch of things. As I understand it, they don't do that, but to me it does underline the level of mess they've made. This should have been completely resolved (plus a "sorry we messed up" effort) in 48 hours, max. And I don't care what part of the world you're in for that time limit. If Google wants to operate worldwide, it can't be so obvious how far away the person dealing with issues is from the US Pacific coast. Happy holidays and take care!

Not sure if this was answered for Jill but the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) typically rules on around 60-80 cases per year. I think it's roughly about 5% of all cases that actually make it to their bench. They also have a "Shadow Docket" where they will do a bit of an underhanded ruling without actual ruling but refusing hearing a case by having enough justices to deny without cause. In the past it made sense due to the sheer volume of what they received but now it appears the conservative side has been using it to either deny or delay a liberal ruling and/or send a subtle message of, "This isn't gonna fly as it's currently written; here's some things you can do to help us justify ruling the way you want."

She's been doing periodic updates in shorter videos too for people who don't have 2-3h to watch the livestreams. Glad you found your way to this (usually) lovely corner of video content 😊

This is exciting stuff. Through the whole series of videos until now, the partner manager has been an unseen eminence grise, silently overseeing the plot from a distance, much like Karla in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy. And now she suddenly appears on the scene, like that one episode in the 1979 TV adaptation starring Alec Guinness. Where despite Guinness delivering one of the finest performances of his or any other actor's career, Patrick Stewart as Karla steals the show with a grand total of zero lines. So I'm expecting equally dramatic things here, except with words.

How interesting, your last line - my brain read "words" as 'swords'. That was fun 😁

Well, I expect we'll see swords soon enough. And I'm pleased to see my confidence turned out to be well-placed.

Hi, I just found your channel due to the demonetization video, and while I don’t have much money to give, I did subscribe

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this but I'm loving your daily live streams! And it's so wild that KZbin is pushing a video that is basically trashing them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The algo is truly a life unto it's self!

Dear KZbin, please pay our sword lady! This is not a New Year’s resolution for you but a Christmas Wish by the way! Thank you!

It's somewhat ridiculous that the yt algoritms are so opaque, even to people working for them, that they can't see what caused their systems to do what it does. Glad to hear progress is progressing.
