I have a movie concept called the fearless five which is about five normal guys who come together and fight side by side against an the Korean army which has evaded the u.s and they ultimately are capture and executed but they give the invading armies hell before they die and I think this entire music set would be awesome with the story because just listening to it it tells the story .

Tyler C. exactly why back stowed swords were never used unless the sword was short, or the person was travelling very far with no combat. back stowed sword is just movies and shows.

I actually got to try drawing a sword from my back once. No kidding, I could grip it, but only pull it a few inches. It gets stuck in the sheath because our arms are simply too short. It makes sense of course, when you think about it. Like you said, only used for moving long stretches. Best position I found was the classic cross-draw, however some others had different draw techniques.

Arvid Lillsund. there is a rare kind of scabbard that opens like a clam shell with a switch near the hilt. that way a back stowed sword could be drawn easily by grabbing the hilt, hitting the release, and the scabbard opens up. this kind of scabbard would obviously be heavier with the spring loaded hinges, but I think would actually make a sword on the back feasible for combat. and the clam shell scabbard sounds awesome and I want one.

Check out the Deus Ex (Human Revolution and Mankind Divided) and the Days Gone Soundtrack if you want excellent music along these lines..... Days Gone is like Jonny Cash/Dark Country (and I don't even like country) meets good movie soundtrack and Deus Ex is more synth wave-trance influenced. Both are amazing though and worth checking out for ANYONE who stumbled onto this album/collection of songs/whatever.
