Yea I've had the •Grundig Satellit 750• for about 5 mnths. I think it's gr8! I've come across some negative reviews of this radio...they say it has high number of defects...I don't have an external antenna yet but I will...the INT works gr8 for me! I'm in MI in A VERY RURAL AREA ON HIGH ELEVATION. I've heard Greece @ only 10 KW...Africa...Oman...and North Korea! (I uploaded a clip of the first minute of English broadcast on here)...I luv this thing! Howvever we must all remember..."Propagation is a funny thing!"I'm glad you like the radio, I like it a lot also :-) btw the thing pulls in SSB spectacularly! Best SSB reception I've had

Where can i find replacement potentiometers (value unknown) for the Squelch, RF gain and the SB BFO controls? The radio is a Eton Grundig Satellit 750 which is the same as Tecsun 2000. Anyone with the schematic diagram please tell me the values. Thank you so much !

Good demonstration and I see you also have a Heathkit clock that was sold in the 70s as a kit! I put one together in the 70s and dug it out of a box and tried it. A little contact cleaner on the switches and it works like brandnew yet. 😀 I also have a Satelite 800 that works good. Thanks for your review.

Real good clock kit some of their products weren't all that refined but the components and assembly instructions were good. I've put a lot of their kits together and some were high priced.

What would be a fair price for one of these new in box?

Are you ever lazy.

@ kauxkaux - Since you can now buy them again brand new (it’s been rebranded as the Eton Elite 750), the price is $399 at Universal Radio. Hopefully, the extra $100 has been put into Quality Control, as that was the only real issue with the older 750.

Mine quit working on batteries only, any idea why that could be?
@rictrexell21187 жыл бұрын
I have noticed two quirks in my 750. If I push the SSB button, it will go to narrow band. I then have to set it to wide. If I'm at say 13890 khz. and want to go to 2000, I must hit enter after entering 2000 or it will go back to 13890. Yet, if I'm at 13890 and want to enter in 15,000 khz., I can just go there and move the dial.

Someday I hope to be able to pre-set a station into memory. The 750 will store 1,000 stations, but just 10 would be nice, if I could! !!

I heard that someone working in Grundig was able to pre-set a station but I do not believe it.

What is interesting about this radio is in reality it's a Tecsun. Only other difference beside the different name plate. Same specs, but the Tecsun will be around 120USD lower.

Which model Tecsun is this one? I could not find one. Even their website did not have any that were similar.

My point the guy was freq. searching with knob it's not meant for that, Use the keypad. it's much faster. You have a 750 you learn that the first day.

Nice RX!Not easy to find here in Europe...

I thought Grundig was German?
@kd8opi7 жыл бұрын
Not really. The company was bought by a Turkish firm, and now a lot (all) of its radios are made by Sangean or Tecsun. Google Tecsun S-2000.

Burt, Nice review. I've been kind of wanting one of these radios. They're a little pricey for me. I notice on the Universal Radio web site that they have now been discontinued. See you in May at NEAR-Fest. 73 Paul AA1SU

Keith Perron mon frère, I think you mean to say that the •Grundig• is the same as an •Éton• Right? Axel Book...SW radios are hard to find in Europe, really? I just can't believe that; for one thing you guys get to hear all the awesome LW that doesn't propagate across the Atlantic! You can hear Polish Radio 24/7 @ 225 KHz! In Europe you get to hear all that cool stuff! And like I said you can go buy an •Éton•, it should be the same :-) ALWAYS BUY THE WARRANTY. ALWAYS...BUY...THE WARRANTY! (←that's how I roll)

I use my 750 for aircraft departure and it does fine, but these days there's a lot of static in major cities. The demo sucked. He could have gotten some freq. before hand punch them in with the keypad. The tuning knob is for fine tubing. I couldn't watch anymore after a few minutes, Read the manual or practice before the video!

I wound up selling the 750 based on this video. It was a demo to show it worked.
