I the roads are nice. No pot holes no traffic, perfect for ripping.i love the pull it has even when you are going 30 mph. I have bbshd and I am going to upgrade to the bac855 one day. Bbshd is not bad but it needs just a little power. 45 amps would be nice.
@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs2 жыл бұрын
45amps is nothing the bbshd is capable of 75 and over 90 phase amps im outputting 4.3kw but i blew the stator holding it wide open for too long and over heating it to many times so i learned my lesson and now i limit it to around 2.8kw. Surprisingly the stator was a really easy fix. I have the steel gear also. Tbh most of the time im riding at only 500-750 watts and conserving the power and even at those low wattages i get up to around 30-35mph with 4.3kw i wasnt getting much faster then that i think my best top speed was some where around 45mph and that was super sketchy on this bike lol. I have a surron now for when i need some speed so this bike is more of my long range cruiser now. I also use it for tuning experiments.

I run the BAC855 controller on a BBS02 on 60v 16s I hit 40 mph easily on a flat road and it runs as smooth as silk much better than the stock controllers on the HD or 02 ..

@@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs does the stator go out first or the nylon gear?
@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs Жыл бұрын
@Jujubees225 it really can be either or. I would think the stator would burn up first but it also depends on the type of wear and tear. If the gear was previously damaged some how it might go out first but having seen tons of evidence on how the nylon gears are pretty durable I’d say that isn’t very likely. Idk why there’s this big misconception of the nylon gears being weak. Everyone I know who runs high powered bbshd set ups has never had a issue with theirs. I think it might of been something related to the date the bbshd was manufactured and maybe they possibly changed the formulation of the gears but that’s my assumption I don’t have any facts to back that opinion up.

Yup, I know that area... hell ive taken my ebike down that same extension rd. My HV kit should be arriving tomorrow for my bbshd hardtail. You ever upgrade to a 72v pack?

Yeah been running this thing at 72v since about Oct.

Mr HV Kit asi bac855 and bbshd on straight can hit 50mph and I’ve hit 62 mph down hill, can’t go wrong, 100% worth it !!! 🚲

That was a great indurance ride on the road for this motor upgrade, was it 52v or 72v battery? I couldn't hear you in the beginning because the sound quality is bad, but certainly heard you get a lecture from that old dude at the end hahaha should of keep on recording hehehe

lol yea he was like man why you going so fast for its a bicycle they arent meant to go that fast lol he hates ebikes with a passion but hes a bike shop owner so figure that one out lol... Im running 52v... And the motor definitely doesnt like those long wide open runs at full power, i eventually burnt out a stator from doing exactly that so now i limit the power and just try to ride it as efficiently as possible and use my surron for when i want to go fast.

Whats top speed i get on stock bbshd 52v 43mph downhil 55mph
@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogs3 жыл бұрын
Top speed doesn't change much maybe it adds about 10-15mph if you run it on 52v at full power which is 4200watts but where you get more speed is by running a high voltage battery like a 72v one then you will see huge gains in top speed. With 52v though you will still see a huge difference with this controller in terms of acceleration and also in terms of efficiency at lower power levels similar to stock it is much more efficient then stock and also the throttle is way smoother and much easier to tune the power settings without a computer then the stock controller.

@@SpreadingKnowledgeVlogsTrTrap Trapezoid is said to be more efficient at high RPM's due to stator inductance and in terms of switching losses than low RPM's, so if the motor is used to climb some hills in granny gear only without the need of smooth acceleration then FOC might not be overly important except for being more gentle on drivetrain than trapezoid which is jerky no matter what.
