This doesn't sound like any distortion pedal I own. The texture is very cool. It literally sounds like an amp pushed beyond its limits. Nice playing as always. Still waiting for the Demos In The Dark album and tour!

hey have you thought about doing some demos of the smallsound/bigsound pedals? the mini has a bit of a voxy thing going on at times (and a whole lot of crazy other stuff going on at other times...)

man, that's a tough one. don't yell at me if this ends up not being your vibe, but i think these XFR pedals from greer are especially cool on low watt amps like your fifteener. you get the opportunity to let the preamp work WITH your amp like, say... a preamp. 😎so by that token alone, i think you'd get WAY more mileage out of a royal velvet. lemme know what you end up deciding and what works or doesn't!

Nice demo, Ryan - thanks! I think I remember that you are a big fan of treble boosters? Can the Royal Velvet take a treble booster for that whole Brian May thing and is that something that you would recommend? Or does it have enough gain and high end all on its own? It did sound pretty fiery on your demo... 😈
