This is just f'ed up. You've got a pitcher throwing several pitches at the batter and you toss out his manager?! Girardi totally has the right to argue with you for not ejecting the pitcher after the third "wild" pitch of the at-bat.
@onnieduvall2565
@onnieduvall2565 7 жыл бұрын
The announcers were saying they expected Sabathia to retaliate. In my opinion, any pitcher who hits a batter after warnings have been issued should not only be ejected but suspended (in the case of a starter) long enough to cover their next three scheduled starts. The team will play short-handed. Also, in addition to automatically ejecting the manager, the pitching coach should also be ejected after a warning. It is the coach's job to calm their pitchers down to avoid such situations.

The announcers said CC Sabathia should send a message too, like retaliate. I don't recall if he did or not to be honest. But that was right around the time when real baseball left us. Now you hit a guy and the announcers and sports media want you to help him up, pat him on the back, say my bad, and let's move on. Retaliate now....god forbid. Old school baseball is frowned upon. Now it's just millionaires vs. millionaires with no one really getting upset anymore. No one playing 150 games anymore. Starting pitchers leaving after five good innings. Sad state of affairs.

This is the first "off color" thing I've seen Ryan Dempster do in his career, and I've followed him since his tenure at Chicago. Give the guy a break, he did what the majority of fans wanted to happen anyway. There's no place for A-Roid in the MLB and anyone who disagrees supports cheating to win. A-Roid got a lot of free bases thanks to Biogenesis. Dempster made him earn that base.

1. I understand what Dempster was doing and I don't blame him, but personally, I'd rather get the guy out than hit him and let a potential run on base. 2. Dempster should have gotten ejected right away, Girardi was 100% understandable in flipping out, and that's why I love him. He always backs up his players no matter what. 3. How classless of the Boston fans. Jeering a guy for taking a steroids is one thing and completely understandable; cheering for him to get hurt is completely different. Sure, as a Yankee fan I might be a little bias, but I never root for anyone to get hurt. 4. If you're gonna send a message, keep sending the message and don't let up a home run to the deepest part of the ballpark to the receiver of said "message." 5. Good shit A-Rod; come back hard this season. Go Yanks.

Dude, the entire baseball world secretly applauded Dempster's, not just Red Sox fans. Even the umpire thought it was just, hence not ejecting Dempster. If you disagree, you either approve of the use of PED in baseball and/or you're a biased Yankee fan.

How was Dempster not thrown out? Rodriguez taking steroids is wrong, but throwing at batters is worst. I heard one story where a batter died due to being hit in the head, and other stories where players went on the 60 dl due to being hit, so throwing at a batter could seriously fuck him up.
@jim-yg5gh
@jim-yg5gh 7 жыл бұрын
ysxacidhjaljdh the guy who died was back in the early 1900s, when they didn't ware helmets, and they used the same ball for like 6 innings. After he died it became a rule to switch the balls out, and I believe that's when it became required to ware helmets. just so yu know

And MLB endorsed what Dempster did by giving him a "suspension" that didn't cost him even one start. I guess it's okay to intentionally hit a batter as long as it's A-Rod. On the other hand, I do wish A-Rod would just go away.

I have never seen a guy miss 3 times when trying to hit a batter, what I want to know is why Demster never got ejected. When David Price hit two batters, all of the Boston fans were complaining about him not being tossed but trying to hit someone 4 times is way worse.

I find it funny how everybody on this page say that A-Rod did steroids...he admitted to it in 2009 but he has never had a positive test. The test they "claimed" he failed on the list of "100 players" that never came out. He was linked to the biogenesis by having his name on documents, and there is no proof that he did it...I feel that if your gonna suspend one guy for the season who was linked to it suspended them all for the season.....and didn't forgot Red Sox fans, your precious Papi, was on that list. But it was just brushed under the rug and never brought up again. So before you start saying the Yankees are full of cheaters look at your team first....and let's not forget Mr. Manny Ramriez. Before you say it, I know he didn't fail while on Boston but you kmow he took it whole he was there.

***** I'm sorry but you can't start saying a whole organization is childish for one pitcher tossing at a player who most MLB players hate. Hell the yankees have had way more childish moments.. remember when arod yelled "got it" behind the blue jays third baseman to distract him and won it because the player thought it was the second baseman and let a routine pop ball fall? remember when a rod hit the ball out of arroyos glove? remember the hundreds of other intentionally hit batsmen many other pitchers have thrown at... yeah. the yankee fans have no bitching at the whole organization to do. dempster sure, i can see why. the whole redsox? no, hell the red sox players are way more down to earth and caring and friendly than most yankees! there's a reason cano left the yankees. the yankees don't care about players and thier personailities. they just want to get power and are full of themselves cause they won 27 world series in the early to mid 1900s. great job! and the red sox won the first world series ever! beat that yankees! oh wait, who cares what happened then? its what happened noww this year and last year some even. you really have to be blind to think that the yankees are not the most hated baseball team in all of sports.
