Alyssa Winters She's talking about her childhood neighborhood with all it's familiarities is now being gentrified. That all the things she loved as a kid is now being renamed by white people who don't know the history and emotion behind it. (But also please don't kill me in the comments if I missed something everyone)

Essentially she’s talking about “raspados” (I’m Colombian, this is how we call them) called in her childhood “piraguero” as well as the one selling it. The “piraguero”is the man who sells in a wooden/wielded cart covered by an umbrella a “grated ice” shaped into a ball pit in a plastic cup or paper cone and topped with liquid your chosen artificial flavor. (Cola, tamarindo, limón, chicle...) she’s also talking about the gentrification of local small businesses (negocios ambulantes)

You know how they say--can't win them all. (Although I have no clue why this poet wouldn't since she rocks.)
