I tested this product out on my standard cap wig today. It was very warm and I wore it for most of the day. Happy to report it didn't budge at all. The residue wiped off easily with plain water - as Bev suggests below if you use a spray bottle you can easily remove any adhesive that's got onto hair.

That is so kind of you to say, Sherry! I appreciate this so much... it is super important to me that I help with solutions to common issues, not just show new wigs that a lot of people probably can't afford anyway. If we were struggling like everyone else right now I would totally be delving into more budget friendly wigs, but so far I haven't found anyone to partner with on them so I would have to buy them all... hopefully someday I can add that to my channel!
@sherrybatson24512 жыл бұрын
@@heywigsister the most common issue with the wigs offered to us is how they are made to fall in the face. With little to no lace around the perimeter makes them hard to style and ultimately look wiggly. Take a look at ethnic women's wigs. They look so realistic but unfortunately are only available in black or very dark colors. Why can't we get wigs like those, that can be worn up and look realistic.

Your reviews always spot on....using whatever time you need to make sure viewers of all levels of experience get the answers they need. You & your channel definitely a gift to us all. I use It Stays, not very often as I don't have an issue with my pieces feeling secure. However, when I do, I am pleased with how easy it is to apply/remove. Going to give this new brand a try. One can never have too many tricks/tips in the wig wearing toolbox. Peerless is beautiful on you! My Kona in British Milk Tea pulls lavender and it's probably my monitor that makes your piece look ashy blonde. Thanks again for all you do!🤗❤️

Thank you for your videos. I saw your first video with this product and bought it. I have the basic non lace front wigs and used it stays. But summertime heat and sweating caused the adhesive to loosen up. I have been using this new product with great results on the edge of the cap and on the nape edge. I've had NO dissolving of product and wig stays exactly where I put it. I found that if I spray too much it was harder to remove and had to use a wet q tip to soak the areas that stuck too much. I now don't use that much and all is fine. Thank you for all you reviews!!!

It stays did not work for me on my first lace front human hair topper, but I am going to try again. I may give this a go and maybe it will work better. I also bought a tape, (not the walker blue tape) and it did not hold at all. I think the topper pulls more than a wig does and it won't stick and also the front is cut very weird, not straight across. I have been watching all your videos because my hair loss has just gotten to the point that a regular small topper is hard to disguise with my thinning hair front, so I need more now. I don't care for the feel of wigs on. You are so beautiful and thank you for all your helpful videos, I am so grateful!! xo Debbie

I do this with Got 2 Be spray, but I put a wig cap under, spray that, then apply a wig grip, then my wig. I often put the it stays gel under the lace if I am going to work cuz I do not have time to mess with it at work. That is working for me. But I will try this spray next. Your wig is beautiful! And you are a beautiful person! Oh yeah! To release the glue, I use a makeup sponge because it’s more precise, holds water but not too much and it’s easy.

Great video, Denise! I really appreciate all the information you're giving us. When I bought my first wig about 1.5 years ago, gluing the lace down was necessary, as it would not lay flat on my forehead. I started off with Got2Be hairspray, but never really liked it. It's not sweat-proof, and I found it quite hard to remove, plus the residue is terrible. The Ebin Sprays were at that time not available in Germany (at least not at a reasonable price). However, I found another lace melt spray that works great as both an adhesive and a lace melting spray - it's the Luxfume lace melting spray. I'm quite obsessed with my wigs being super secure and my lace being undetectable. I don't spray the adhesive/melting spray directly on my hairline (the Luxfume spray bottle delivers way too much product, and it gets all over the place), I spray it in a little container and then use a small brush to pick up some product and place it where it needs to be. Then I put my wig on, clip the hair out of the way, put a second layer on top of the lace, and press it down with a tail comb. I often use a hairdryer to speed up the process. Then I tie that down. That sounds like a lot of work (and time), but once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty quick - and I put the wig on before I do my make-up, so the product can dry while I do that. To take the wig off in the evening, I fill some warm water in a little spray bottle, clip the hair away, and thoroughly spray the water on the hairline. Maybe that helps some ladies who have the same problems as I had in the beginning, trying to feel secure in my wig and making it look as natural as possible.

You’re awsome Denise! I’m sitting here at my home office today wearing Ellen Willie’s Storyville in chocolate rooted. Finally found a wig that reminds me of my natural bio hair. No adhesive today, no wig grip … ever👍can’t stand the extra bulk or the way it holds the heat. but I went to the hotsprings over the weekend and forgot my wig tape & all I had with me was my IT Stays … which I absolutely love! And I use it ear to ear and on the nape. I am definitely giving this new product a try! I always adhere when going out in public.well😂almost always. If the wig fits me really well I don’t always glue it on if I’m going out. So I always wear a good fitting wig when I go to the chiropractor… cause honey, that thing comes off before I get on the table😂 🤷♀️
@heywigsister2 жыл бұрын
LOL! One thing I noticed AFTER filming this video was that it adheres so well if I want to take my wig off in the car because I am hot, I can't!!! A few weekends ago my daughter and I went to her college orientation 4 hours away. When we were driving home I was so hot I just wanted to take my wig off, but I had used this stuff so I couldn't!! If I would have used It Stays it would no longer have been holding it because I was so sweaty and then I would have been able to take it off, lol... oh well! Everything has trade offs!

Great idea, Denise! I tried It Stays and it doesn't work. I use wig tape for forehead and nape but I have to shave the nape area for it to work--I don't shave the whole head. Just one strip at the top, and one strip at the bottom. There are glues but they are messy. Someone needs to come up with an idea especially on the nape area, Denise. I've never tried built-in combs at the nape but I'm not sure I even like that. I don't like using the wig grip either because of the bulkiness. I'm pretty picky about these things. Besides, the wig grip rises up in the nape area. So far though, I'm happy with the wig tape but I'd like to try Ebin Wonder and see if it works on the shaved nape. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Denise - thanks so much for sharing this, it is in my Amazon cart. My wigs tend to rid up in the back, any tips for this?

I actually talk about this in one of my New Wig Wearers series videos AND I have a blog post with tips on how to manage it that I got from our wig sisters, who I polled for their advice. Here is the blog post, it is long so scroll all the way down to the part that is titled "Flat Head?" and you will find those tips there: heywigsister.com/f/wig-fit-and-how-to-measure-your-head

Hi Dienes, my concern always is the back more than the front , can I use this new product you are showing on the back . And you think it will work even if I sweat ?.
@heywigsister2 жыл бұрын
I didn't test it on the back but it adhered a basic cap wig so I would think it would work.... the issues with adhering the back are #1 the neck moves so much which could make it hard for the adhesive to set up and #2 bio hair can get in the way (if you have some). I would make sure you use a good amount (do a few layers) and try not to move your head a lot until it dries.... you might try tying a scarf around your head to put pressure on the wig edges to really help it set up and then remove it once fully dry.

Do you have to adhere a lace front wig to your hair line? I’ve never owned one but thought about trying to get one.

The lace generally sits on the Hairline but, depending on the wig and how it fits you, you might be able to get away with not adhering it. I sometimes wear my wigs without adhering them.... but there are different styles of lace front wigs and some do need to be adhered in order to lay flat and stay secure.

It Stays is OK but not so much if you have bio hair, imo. I'm definitely going to try this. Thx for the scoop, DS. It would be especially good for a topper I would think. I do wear and wig grip though because they hold a wig all the way around the head, especially at the nape. And since I always cut bangs into my wigs/toppers, there's no issue. But I'll try the nape area with this stuff cuz I'd like to not wear a wig grip.
