How they made that interior work is amazing. The exposed conduit electricals and toggle light switches could have made it look silly but there's just enough of it to put a hint of industrial toughness explorer boats are supposed to have inside the clean and beautiful interior. Same thing with the bathroom fixtures. The industrial feel is broadcast where it's supposed to be but the gleaming engine room and galley display a comforting and modern reminder you are on a state of the art yachting machine. The tender lift when deployed gives the impression of an industry fishing boat hauling in thousands of the day's catch yet the way it disappears is nothing short of spectacular. This is one hell of a boat. You are pampered and reminded everywhere you look that you are on a ship that's all about muscle. Beautiful!

The Mimi La Sardine was my favorite interior of any yacht walkthrough I've ever seen. I've got it saved for reference so I can play with similar concepts in doing my own interior design. I'm not as fond of this one, but I do like it... some of the rugs are a bit weird to me (and not in a good way), but I like the industrial feel. And both boats have avoided the traditional yachty "super-shiny woodwork that's designed for a museum piece, where there's enough staff to ensure that every spill gets cleaned up before it even hits the table surface." I don't like yachts that look like museums; I like yachts that look like homes, and Mimi is so special precisely because I see a lot of resemblance to a low-key beach house, a relaxed place where the sand gets tracked in and there are bits and pieces of pretty shells and driftglass all over the place. This doesn't have the same flavor at all, but it does still have the flavor of a home instead of a Yacht, and I appreciate it for that.

As beautiful as most yacht interiors are, I'm so happy to see more and more interiors like this. It's modern, but more importantly functional and inviting. Super lux interiors may have their place, but I know there are many people who want to get away from spaces that remind us of our "parents living room". I'm not referring to a dated space, I'm talking about that space we grew up with, that you could look at and appreciate from afar, but never enter or touch (and usually only got used on special occasions). This yacht feels welcoming and "real". I can't explain it , but it's like it's saying, "Come aboard, make yourself feel at home- it's ok if you dropped a crumb, my interior is meant to be used and enjoyed. Let's go have fun and explore together". Sounds corny I know, but it's the 1st time a yacht interior has ever "spoke" to me. Lol

@Richard I thought I was the only one who felt the interior was actually a monster in disguise...look extremely amazing, unique, functional & inviting to draw in novices before swallowing them whole. I'm just amazed. The use of floor space, cabinetry, art deco, bathroom sinks. Good lord i don't want to cruise in this boat, I want to live in it. Kudos to the interior design team, this boat almost sells itself on that alone.

Ryan, another great video and more importantly another reason to love CDM yachts. Mimi la Sardine is still my favorite, but I am really liking this one as well. The steampunk vibe of the interior is amazing. With this design, I would think it might have made it easier installing the lighting, as you didn’t have to snake them behind panels. Really like some aspects of this one, and yet other area aren’t quite to my liking. Love the size (bigger is always better right 😉) and the outdoor areas. And really like some of the features inside. But the decor just doesn’t do it for me. Feels very much like an industrial area and not what I would want to spend weeks surrounded by. I’ve rented many yachts in my day for extended trips, and one thing I always count on is that they will be spacious, bright, comfortable, and luxurious. This one was much too utilitarian for me. Like a cheap loft apt in NYC or something. But once again, Ryan does an amazing job of walking us through and pointing out the features. He just keeps getting better with every new video!!! @chrisbynum49403 жыл бұрын
I wonder how well that crane will work in the real world. It seems like it’s limited range could be a problem. I would rather have a crane that can reach both port and starboard. The way it hides is pretty cool though. I wonder how the deck crew like it?
@grondhero3 жыл бұрын
I'm not a fan of the crane either, but really, it's hidden when not in use and the rearranging of deck furniture would be the same with a side crane. Since the purpose of the crane design is to keep the ship from rolling or listing while loading/unloading the tender, it seems to be an actual win in that department.
