OK, thanks for catching up with us. I've been on a pre-diabetic program from Reed Wellbeing, since March this year. The program is a national prgram sponsored by the NHS. So far I've lost 20kg in weight following a suggested menu plan, cutting out white bread and other high carb foods.

Hi Bob and Jenny and Trev and Sue a great video as ever and looks a wonderful start to your adventure in Denmark. Always find your channel tunnel videos useful and used them when we went ourselves. Travel safely all of you and enjoy Would love to visit Folkestone harbour it’s amazing what they have done to the old station I bet it’s a goldmine in the summer All the best to you all Daniel
@Rayd_erАй бұрын
You can have tones that inform you that you have exceeded the speed limit in France, you can’t have speed camera alerts.
@BobEarnshawMoHoАй бұрын
Yes, I believe we turned off the tone, but I tend to keep an eye in the sat nav on speeds. I did turn off off the alerts.
@rogermadeley7413Ай бұрын
It seems quite complicated to take the tunnel,I always think it's more exciting to take the ferry over and makes the journey really. As for a bridge or tunnel over to Orkney it would just become part of the NC500 and be totally swamped by motorhomes, camper vans & caravans beyond the islands capacity and would totally spoil the place...rather like whats happened to Skye...have a great time the three of you.
@BobEarnshawMoHoАй бұрын
We will do, thanks. The tunnel makes the journey so much quicker than the ferry.

Very useful to see the process for using the tunnel. I’ve never driven in France, but would like to one day. Have a lovely time in Denmark. Our dog got more nervous of noises as she aged! X

We have not seen Poshcats vids yet but we turned up at that pub Last year , I was completely empty and they told us we couldn’t get any food as it was fully booked ! We said we would take an outside table but they said no. Ordered a Chinese on just eat instead and it was great

Yes, please check out Trev and Sue's channel. Take away is definitely a better option.😄

This was a great video. Very helpful as we are doing this on Tuesday. I didn’t see you go to Douane to get the AHC stamped? We went to a little portacabin 2:28 last year. Has this changed! Looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks.
@BobEarnshawMoHoАй бұрын
Yes I did. I filmed us going into pet reception and I forgot my hanger for the window!
@DiWilliams60Ай бұрын
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Agh, thank you. I saw that but didn’t realise it was the signing of the paperwork. The layout at Folkestone looks quite different in places, as you say. Safe travels.
@DiWilliams60Ай бұрын
I presume you get page 8 signed in Pet Reception now then, instead of that portacabin we did last year. Thanks for your help Bob.
@BobEarnshawMoHoАй бұрын
@DiWilliams60 We didn’t get page 8 signed as we didn’t see a cabin and the person in Pet Reception didn’t tell we had to. We didn’t get it signed last year either. If you don’t get it signed the date of entry becomes the date of issue of the Animal Health Certificate not the date you entered the Schengen area. Pets can stay for 4 months, humans 3 months or 90 days.

Captain! You need someone to send you a couple of UHF handheld radios . So useful when 2 vans are traveling together , also great for the mrs when shes reversing you on to a pitch . Anti divorce radios as they are called here in OZ 😂

Probably why I shouldn't use a divorce Radio. 🤣

Hi both of you, love your channel, now onto Denmark 🙂 Bob, have you been put on a diet, don’t lose anymore weight 🙂 Never seen anything on Denmark so looking forward to seeing it. Best wishes all of you 😋

Not been on diet, just a menu plan, because I've been on a pre-diabetic program from Reed health care via the NHS.

We parked in the same place in Folkestone harbour about 3 years ago and was charged £20 for a couple of hours. I complained to the council who just said it was down to the length of the vehicle

So I'll probably have that letter waiting for me when I get home then. 😐

Hi, as i understand it, its the biometric checks that are due to commence in November when your fingerprints & face scan will be taken to go onto the system. Next May is when ETIAS kicks in, which is actually a visa waiver not a visa. Is cheaper & less hassle to get. Ultimately should mean quicker entry to Schengen area with no passport stamps. En route of course, there will be hold ups due to sytem implementation & teething problems. Nice video ..have a great trip👍
@BobEarnshawMoHoАй бұрын
Yes you are correct. It's a visa waiver system. Hopefully it will all go smoothly, but I doubt it.

To my shame have not watched many of your videos lately, but I am very excited about this trip and I will certainly be watching the whole trip all the way from New Zealand. But, i must say, good god Bob, you have lost a lot of weight... what's your top tip????
@BobEarnshawMoHoАй бұрын
Thanks for catching up! My top tip is to go on a pre-diabetic program run by Reed Wellbing sponsored by the NHS. Been following a suggested menu plan since March, cutting out the bad stuff like white bread. Lost around 20kg.
