Yes, the ‘golden age’ of pickup (2000s) was amazing. I made really good friends, had some amazing girlfriends, and most of all learned about who I am underneath. They are friendly/sociable and I am legitimately friends with several older married women. Speaking with women is not an issue. I've never used dating apps. Meeting someone organically and in-person is (and always has been) the best way of achieving results in love and dating in my opinion. That said, approaching the opposite sex is hard and takes a lot of courage. It's even more challenging if you're like me and are on the autism spectrum. Because people like us have to work extra hard in understanding people's feelings and emotions. As well as knowing what are interest and flirtation signals that are given to us. Instead of just the platonic signals that we get more often than not. While dating and love remains a challenge, I'd rather do it the hard way and just accept that the results are more likely to take longer to achieve than using dating apps and social media. But at the end of it all, the results are also more likely to be better than using the above technology. Pros and cons to everything in life. And this subject is no exception! 😅

I’m 24 and never dated because I still live with parents. My goal is to get more certifications so that I can get a solid job in marketing, communications, or maybe something related to web3 or AI. I used to do game, do the pickup stuff you teach and some of the other dating coaches teach. And whenever I would, women would scowl at me, think I’m weird and creepy, give all the “ick” vibes you can think of, give the eyes rolls and biggest sighs. I was being super polite, not too aggressive, wouldn’t persist if I saw it wasn’t going anywhere, I was in great shape (I gained some weight now but I’m getting back into shape again), decent at carrying the conversation, but the women just made it clear they hated being approached. So I stopped and never went back to it. I just got tired of being treated that way and who does honestly. So now why do you think most guys aren’t bothering to try either? It’s because when men do, women treat them like crap for it, and men don’t like that so they so they stop. It’s the women that are the problem not the guys. Yes men definitely have their own problems, but when women are making themselves so toxic to talk to and so unapproachable by literally ANY guy they don’t know, to the point where large swaths of the male population are just flat out giving up, you know women have some serious issues they gotta fix about themselves.

Idk. I don't want to be black pill here but I am pretty successful with average women on dating apps and the 4 I progressed past 1st dates with in the last month have each left me slack jawed with their unbelievable bad personalities. It's rough out here and I don't think women are being sold the idea that they need to work on themselves at all. The popular notion is that women are naturally more caring and empathetic and nurturing etc. So that gives them this idea that they don't need to work on themselves at all in those departments. So they end up being actually the opposite of those things. And I found myself becoming much more so nurturing and empathetic and caring than any of the women I've dated. Just simply out of an effort to be more accountable with myself and become a better person. Until the culture shifts and women learn they need to actually work on themselves too, nothing is going to change. There are still good ones out there but it's one out of 100 if that.
