It was also mainly an excuse for Dee to sound inadvertently racist without p!ssing off viewers, hence the spot on follow up impression done by Dennis that deliberately "saves the entire joke" from falling into a cesspool of needless politically-correct public debate. The show does this time and again expertly!

season 16 was genuinely one of the best seasons of the show imo, the guys have been doing a rewatch of older seasons for the always sunny podcast and it's definitely done a lot of good. i'd suggest checking out at least the first episode (the gang inflates), it's legit worth a watch
