Idk if you train bjj but I do and I also run 6 miles a day 3-5 days a week and cardio helps but when your on the mats and sombody is applying top pressure and your being smothered it's a whole different world then just cardio

your muscles are filled up with more than just oxygen. lactic acid builds up and without time to recover, energy will be in high demand. Best thing to do is cardio and weight lifting

Why doesn't he have 4 stripes before ranking up? And why do they have 1 stripe at each end of the black bar? Not criticizing, just curious.

Not every gym uses stripes. The white bars are supposed to be for instructors but they seem to give them to everyone in that gym for some reason. It doesn't really matter though.

i found out that some belt companies put those bars there already just for design or something like that. i guess they use that brand of belt.

InFamouzBX the belt company is HCK. My blue is from there. 4 years old belt and in 'relatively' good shape. Quality die and material. My purple will be from another company only because the other students dont havevthose mini stripes along w the wide ones.
