Hey from HOLLAND...I was born 1976...I grew up with dr.Hook...My little life back then was "turbulent " It's strange that the music from back then is a precious memory I still love to remember and lissen to!!(i couldn't stop looking to the covers of there LP specially the one with the masks on it....🎭)

@SanAntoneRose Shel Silverstein wrote this. Dr. Hook recorded it and Marianne Faithful heard their version then recorded it.

I think the lady backing singer totally ruins it! It’s a horrible sound from her and isn’t needed. He sounds beautiful still and he is a lot older now xx

I'd imagine that if you were singing the same song for past 50 years, you might sound a little different, but I think he still sings it with such great enthusiasm.
