I miss this London 😢 Lived there whilst working in Wapping for about 5 year's in the 90's And returned in 2022, Man, i thought I touched down in a third world slum 😢 Beggars, The dirtiness & grime , litter & these ridiculous creatures on bikes wearing balaclavas whom seem to put this cringe ' yardie style ' accent on ( what on earth is that about?? ) , who go brazenly whizzing about stealing phones, i know that goes down everywhere, but pulling machetes out on you openly in front of the police is just something else. The hostility is worse than the Bronx when there's a opioid shortage. I couldn't wait to get the hell out there ....I even felt dirty, I showered and showered to try & get the filth off me. So very, very sad.

Loved this show, it was so ahead of its time. The other journos at events gave him loads of grief because he would usually nab celebrities first, piss them off, and then they'd stop taking questions Eventually he had to stop the show because everyone knew who he was and that he'd just take the piss

This. Pennis always worked best when the person was in on it, to some degree. They got lightly roasted, had a laugh at their own expense and came out the other side looking good. The ones who brushed him off however end up looking like the stuck up celebs they actually are.

I had totally forgotten about him until I stumbled across a short clip of him around a year ago, presenting one of his shows in my city. The show in question was *The Tom O'Connor Roadshow* and wasn't even on *IMDB,* so I added it, and added all the episodes. There doesn't seem to be any full episodes of it anywhere however, as all I can find are 5 short clips.

It's great how a little hostility brings out the true self in these celebs. It's fine to react negatively towards him, he's being a prick. But some have such disdain for people who are beneath them and by pitching himself right at the bottom of the social pile, you get a real sense of what they think of their own importance. Often, before he even says anything objectionable, you see the wrinkled nose and the reluctance to acknowledge the "pleb".

Apparently this character is the reason why Paul Kaye never got a brake in Hollywood. The creators made some great decisions on who to target and he shows some A list celebs up as right arseholes. I found him hilarious. Maybe he should do a come back just to piss the people off who didn't give him a shot in Hollywood. I love shows that say fuck you to the system.
