@mzbarsk if he's a religious jew, he has rejected the triune God of the Bible, so he has an unbeliever's understanding of it. He will reject any hermeneutic that sees Christ in the old testament. Again, why go to the unbeliever for biblical counsel?
@mzbarsk Жыл бұрын
@@oldcuster3873 Again, that's just your opinion as a Christian (I assume). Since he is a Jew, he holds different beliefs and to him someone like you would be a non-believer, seeing how he rejects your beliefs in favor of his own. Bottom line is: he fluently speaks and reads Hebrew, and so he has more authority when it comes to translating the Old Testament and opining on it versus someone who comments on some "translated" version.

I say this gently and with respect: When Christianity sees that neither Jesus nor Paul ever did away with the Torah or Prophets(Matt.5:17-19)(Acts21:20-26), then Judaism will see Jesus as the kosher Messiah. Although he reveals himself to anyone at anytime, as he did to me ten years ago when I was finally ready, I believe that perhaps when he reveals himself to the entire family of Israel it will be as in the story of Joseph. His own brothers didn’t recognize him until he chose for them to at the right time. I believe Jesus walks among Jews like Dennis Prager, guiding them with love and wisdom just like the two on the road to Emmaus. They will see when he decides. I could look back and wonder why I was allowed to live 36 years without the saving knowledge of Jesus, but it’s such an amazing story, why would I?😊
