It's March of 2020 and we're in the middle of a pandemic. Times like this really make me miss things like the 10 o'clock news with Dennis Richmond.

Dennis is a legend. His delivery of the news is unlike any other anchorman. I grew up watching Dennis & Elaine. Then Dennis & Leslie as I got older. I always hoped I would meet him someday so I could shake his hand and thank him for all the great work he has done in Bay Area journalism. I really cannot say enough good things about him. KTVU has always had such an amazing team of journalists. Dennis was and always will be the greatest among many greats. I'm glad I was born and raised in the bay area and that I was fortunate to be able to get my news from an outstanding team of broadcaster including Dennis.

I never met any anchor in person except for seeing Leslie in her car on the bay bridge which was funny.. She actually waved & smiled.

I grew up watching KTVU, it was the best station in the bay area and Dennis Richmond was/is a class act. I really missed the quality/caliber of news when I moved to Sacramento. Best wished to Mr. Richmond on his well deserved retirement.

I go back and watch this from time to time in my “likes”videos. It just brings me back to when I was so young and growing up hearing his voice every day on tv brings back so many memories. Miss this guy

Same here. I've been gone from the bay for 21 years, but I cherish the memories of watching Mr. RIMichmond weeknights at 10. Miss those times so much.

I liked Dennis and his chemistry with Elaine Corrale. Dennis looked like he could whip someone's a$$ if he had to. Much love

The greatest news anchor the bay area has seen IMO. NOW Mark Ibanez has retired too after 43 years
@justafanofnerdculture7602 Жыл бұрын
Really...!? I had no idea that Mark retired too. I moved from the bay (Oakland) 21 years ago, so I'm a lil' behind.

My mom had a crush on Dennis Richmond may she rest in peace. I remember watching him as a little girl. The first colleague I remember him working with was Barbara Simpson, then Elaine Carell, and then of course Julie Haener.
