Denon DJ Prime X1850 Mixer with Pioneer DJ RMX-1000

I pretty sure the number one thing that people don't know in order to get this working is that the effect has to be set to sndrtrn in the effects list (like where you pick echo, reverb, delay, etc) on the Denon x1850 mixer. And yes the other effects built into the quantized effects mixer on the x1850 will be unavailable during this use. You must also set the effects to the deck you wish to affect with the outboard effects unit. I know this sounds like basics, but I really do think this is where people are getting hung up. It hasn't been shown in these videos so I think people just think plugging it all in correctly and setting +dB in the menu and you're done. Most have own equipment and have been doing this for years, but never used the sndrtrn "effect." Also, to be fair non DJ mixers and home theater equipment almost always have send and returns as separate volume controls that do not require to "select" the effect cuz those units have no "other" effects. So it is a slightly different way of send/return than maybe people who have used in the past have known. Hope this helps!

My this video was very useful I still have a x1800 mixer and if no effects are on there is still some sort of echo is there something else I'm missing. I have the latest firmware in the RMX thanks in advanced

Can you use this on the prime 4? Honestly the eco and noise effects on the prime suck. Can I get a similar type of quality effect on the prime 4 with this?

The phasing effect with my boss dd-8 is killing the whole vibe when the effect is at 12 pm, also when it's full I still hear some very little ducking at +10db. Any suggestions?

Thanks from Germany. I still waiting for my rmx 1000 and all of the videos saying it doesnt work. Imo the Denon fx sucks. So i tried the korg kaos pad. Interesting but make me not happy. You shown me, that this setup is working together. THANKS!!! One question; do you use midi to match the tempo? Thanks

No...tempo is like any other mixer. Just reads from audio input on you can tap in.

Hi there, I would like to warn everyone who will try to do the same thing which is shown in this video, you could have problems with sound, I do have absolutely same setup, two SC6000 with X1850 and RMX-1000, so when I added +9db in the settings, I’ve got digital noise on master output when I enabled SND RTN with even 10% wet/dry, which is getting worse while increasing to 100%, so better to adjust input/output level on RMX-1000 itself, it’s much better.
