Ordered one today. I’ve been a Pioneer user for so long, I need something different and this sounds pretty good.

Thanks. This was helpful. I was considering the RELOOP RMX-90, but the new Denon seems more modern in its approach to FX.

The Reloop is certainly a nice machine. Especially if you consider using it as DVS system. The Denon really kicks ass, if you use it with their media players (simply because the players transfer the BPM digitally considering the beatgrid set plus the nice FX). So think about your desired setup and try to check both out (if possible). I love my Denon. It's simply a great piece of gear :-)

@@NewElectronicFrontier Thanks! Yes. I have original 1200's. Never considered myself a scratch DJ. Play mostly House. I have difficulty justifying full Media Players (even though the SC6000's are very nice)... so DVS with a decent mixer and a pad controller seems like a plan. I presume though that the Denon Mixer would do just as well in this scenario... and then perhaps just add their Media Players later.

@@alanmodimages Absolutely! Only thing to consider is that the Denon is "only" Serato ready. Means it is totally certified for Serato, also as DVS Interface (and works flawless) but doesn't come with a full license. So you need to have a license for Serato DVS or make a subscription. But apart from this its a nice DVS setup as well (especially with your 1200's - makes me kind of jealous :-) )

@@NewElectronicFrontier It should also work with Traktor Pro. Traktor allows any audio interface for an external mixer.

Can you plug a pioneer djs-1000 sampler into that landport I hope they make those protocols work this mixture would be excellent for me

I guess that will be impossible. If I'm not totally mistaken they use different vendor specific protocols. I don't have the DJS-1000 and can not try. Howevere I had the same hope for the iPad App of the RMX-500, which worked beautiful with a USB connection to the 750 MKII - but no luck. That's how they keep you in their eco system...

Hi, I have a question, whether to connect to the usb port, the computer with softwer, engine prime, will process the music sound processor that is in the mixer or with the standard interface? I am waiting for an answer and thank you in advance. My lengwech is not very good, but I think you will understand.

Hey Andezej! I am actually not sure what you want to do. The Engine Prime software is primarily there to prepare your music and then transferring it to a USB drive (stick, SD card or ssd depending on the media player you have). If you have the mixer it doesn't need any connection to a computer to perform all the processing stuff. But you can use the usb connection to use the mixer as sound card, so you can record all the stuff happening on it. Hope that answers your question.

Hello, can you do 2 efx at the same time and manipulate them at same time per channel??

Yes and no. The beat FX section that you have on the lower right of the mixer allows you to select any of the given FX, but only one at a time. That's for the no. So no 2 of the beat FX at the same time. BUT: The separate filter in the channel always works. AND: you have the sweep FX on the channels. They also work all the time. So you can have a combination of beat FX + sweep FX + filter.

Anyone else experience issues with their X1850? My OLED screens failed and Denon refused to fix them... wondered if this was a common issue.

Hey Robert! Nope, the x1850 does not have a looper. You would need something like novation dicers, a pioneer ddj-xp2, reloop neon or the like. If you look for a 4 channel mixer, no model comes to my mind where you have a looper included. These are just in the 2 channel battle mixers...

There is one... the amazing Allen & Heath DB4. I have one but A&H are no longer supporting it re. OSX Big Sur. so that is why I am trying to find a mixer that I can loop record vinyl. Do really need it but is nice for short records or when you are running out of time!!!

@@Robert_Hellier_Official Ahhh wait. I got the beat looper wrong here (I was somehow on cue / loop buttons for the separate channels), sorry. It does indeed have a beat roll FX which is a looper.
